Chicken Shack Brownstown — Restaurant in Brownstown Charter Township

The cook there was extremely rude. I had first arrived and was gonna ask for a crispy chicken sandwich. The time was 8:30 pm. No one came to the counter. As soon as I came in, there was this guy out of uniform who gave an exasperated look the moment he saw me. No one came out to the counter to say anything to me for a couple of minutes. Finally, a guy who was cleaning the kitchen came out to take my order. Unfortunately, the poor guy didn't know how to operate the kiosk. Cue the out-of-uniform guy coming over and selecting the crispy chicken sandwich on the kiosk in irritation. He could've just told me they were sold out for the day or some other excuse. He turned around and, without even looking at me, just said, "We're probably out of batter anyways." and started to walk out. He was just plain rude. After that guy left, the cook just started yelling from inside the kitchen and even going so far as to cuss out the only guy that was even trying to do anything. About 3 minutes later, the cook stormed out and threw a blow of soggy and oily potatoes onto the counter and said here are some potatoes, put them on the counter, and just left. It was wild. I'm just standing there the whole time thinking to myself. U could of just told me there was nothing left and I would've just went home lol. Finally some lady comes out and helps the first guy that came out to serve me and says oh yeah, we got some batter, we can make that sandwich for u. I was cool with that at first, but then I hear in the kitchen the chef yelling: " we're gonna throw this out anyways." I don't about anyone else, but I was just content to leave and go to another store. I really didn't appreciate being charged to get your leftovers that were gonna be thrown out. I got photos of what I was given. I've been to this place a couple weeks ago, earlier in the day around 4pm or 5pm. Their sandwiches were great. This was the total opposite. It looked like the leftover shavings of the chicken breast used in the crispy chicken sandwich. Aka the leftovers our homeboy chef was talking about. I actually liked their sandwiches and fired chicken. Unfortunately I'm never going to go there again. The manager there needs to get this...

If I could give this place 0 stars, that would be more appropriate. I have never experienced such rude and incompetent workers. The cashier, a young skinny woman with blonde hair was insanely rude from the moment we walked in. We walked in and we were the only ones in the restaurant, she NEVER spoke to us, not a greeting, a welcome, a how can I help you, NOTHING! Then we order and I order a lemonade for which she charges us and they are subsequently out of Lemonade so I let her know and she shrugs her shoulders. I tell her she has to give me a refund and she rolls her eyes and goes to get the manager. He very calmly comes and refunds my money. And I can over hear the cashier girl in the back complaining about me asking for a refund to the other employee in the back. She tells him that I didnt want any other drink, only a lemonade so I asked for my money back and shes like why cant she just get another drink. The other employee says " uhh some people are so difficult". All of this is loud enough where we can hear them from the front. I'm appalled at this point. So I tell the manager about what they are saying and he apologizes for them. This was just an insanely terrible experience for us, we will never be back! I would never recommend coming to this place. The chicken was super sub par as well. Just never come...

I went to this Chicken Shack today and was very disappointed. The service it's self was ok at the counter though they were very unknowledgeable of their own menu. I ordered, said it very plainly and they still rang in my order incorrectly. We sat down and waited for our order in their very small lobby area meaning you know were there....cant miss us. Our order unfortunately sat on the counter for over 10 minutes, unknown to us. By the time we opened it the shack potatoes were cold. And we dined in???? So as we went thru our order we noticed fries were there where their should be broasted potatoes and took it to the counter. I said this was a mistake and he wanted my receipt. I told him what we ordered and he told me I received what I paid for. Ok. So because your employee rang it in correctly I'm to blame. Shame on you. These are potatoes. I was not looking for extra food or extra chicken. I WAS LOOKING FOR WHAT I ORDERED. Plain and simple. So what would having said your sorry and took the fries and gave me my potatoes cost you? You turned a nice evening out into a disappointment.
