Starting off by saying I am a former McDonaldâs manager of 5 years (not this location thank god)
I stopped by 4th of July because Iâm pregnant and hadnât eaten all day after visiting a friend out there. The line was wrapped around the building which is usually normal for night shifts and especially holidays. This location was the only thing open and I had an hour drive back home so I thought okay itâll probably be alright since itâs busy. We waited in line half an hour before we even got to the speakerâŚstill normal night shift struggles I suppose. So Iâm thinking alright the food must be fresh because weâre waiting so long so we must be waiting on food to move the line. We finally get to the speaker and they tell us they only have 4 people so be patient. (They sound stressed even though thatâs normal for night shiftâŚ..Iâve run a drive through with 1-2 people most nights so thatâs more than enough to run that drive thru.) We wait another 10 minutes to place our order and we order 20 nuggets and 3 mcchickens and a fry. Well we pull up to the first window and wait 10 more minutes while 2 separate people walk up to the window because of something going onâŚ(forgotten food, mobile order didnât go through?) We get our 3 mcchicken and fries and nuggets and pull away⌠The fries were definitely sitting in the bin for more than 7 minutes (the official hold time the fries are good for) The nuggets were squishy so I know they mustâve dropped too many and then proceeded to let them sit in the cabinet and probably ignored the hold timeâŚ. And one of our mcchickens were plain which shouldnât have happened if they had stickers⌠The buns on all 3 mcchickens were burnt and squishy to the point where you can barely chew it⌠Couldnât even eat the food as all the meat including the mcchickens were old as hell. Definitely a...

Read moreThis location had repeatedly disappointed me over the years. The lines are often so long that I won't even pull in. When I do go through drive thorough, it's often a ten minute process. 2 weeks ago they ran out of carbonation for sodas. Yesterday I ordered a large soda work my meal only to be told they don't have any large cups. So I agree to the medium, I didn't really need more than 20 ounces of soda... Even though I was thirsty. The second window asked me to pull ahead while my food was being prepared. 14 minutes later, and no sign of my food I go inside and asked for the manager. With my car still parked in the#1 slot wait slot, she looked out the window at it, then looked at me and asked if I had pulled into the waiting at as directed.
My car is there now, it has been for 14 minutes, and they gave my food to someone else.... So that person will not be happy either. When I brought up the soda issue she blamed it on the truck for not bringing cups. If the person making the orders does it correctly you would not run out of cups, you would not run out of carbonation, and you could borrow cups from a nearby McDonald's.
If you want McDonald's, go to any other McDonald's then Gibraltar Road. They can't handle the pressure of the customers...
