McDonald's is a fast-food chain that has gained popularity all over the world due to its quick and convenient service. However, despite its convenience, there are many reasons why McDonald's can be bad for your health.
One of the primary reasons why McDonald's is not good for you is because of the high levels of calories, fat, and sugar found in their food. Many of their menu items are high in calories, which can lead to weight gain and an increased risk of obesity. For example, a Big Mac contains 540 calories, while a large order of fries contains 510 calories. Consuming these foods regularly can lead to an excessive calorie intake, which can contribute to obesity and related health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
In addition to being high in calories, McDonald's food is also high in fat. Many of their menu items are deep-fried, which can lead to an increased intake of saturated and trans fats. These fats can contribute to high cholesterol levels, which can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Another issue with McDonald's food is that it is often loaded with sugar. Many of their menu items, such as shakes, desserts, and even some of their sandwiches, contain high levels of sugar. Consuming too much sugar can lead to a variety of health problems, including obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay.
Furthermore, McDonald's food is often high in sodium. A single Big Mac contains over 1000 milligrams of sodium, which is almost half of the recommended daily intake. A diet high in sodium can lead to high blood pressure, which can increase the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Another issue with McDonald's is that their food is often processed and contains additives and preservatives. These additives and preservatives can be harmful to your health and have been linked to various health problems.
Finally, McDonald's is also known for its large portion sizes. Many of their menu items are super-sized, which can lead to excessive calorie intake and contribute to weight gain and obesity.
In conclusion, while McDonald's may be convenient and affordable, it is not good for your health. The high levels of calories, fat, sugar, and sodium found in their food, as well as the additives and preservatives, can contribute to a variety of health problems. To maintain good health, it is important to limit your intake of fast food and focus on a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and...
Read moreJust placed a mobile order leaving Bath Iron works headed to Portland. Not familiar with the area so I didn't know there was 2 locations close by. I thought I placed the order for Pleasant St in Brunswick but it went to Gurnet Road. Upon my arrival in brunswick I realized it was on a different road than my GPS was telling me I was on so I figured it must be wrong mcdonalds. I called the McDonald's I placed the order at to tell them my mistake to cancel and refund my order and the manager says you need to contact the app. I asked how do you contact a app? He replied I don't know So I hang up and look into it and it said right on the app itself to contact the store for a refund. So basically the manager working does not know the policy, didn't care, I called back and he left the phone off the hook from the first time I called. I will call back amd find out his name so I can add it to this review. So they basically stole my money and then I had to re order food. It was my fault for placing the order at the wrong mcdonalds but I'm not familiar with the area amd the policy is you should still be refunded. Very unhappy. I wi update this once I get the managers name. Thanks for...
Read moreI cannot believe the way I was treated, I have never been talked to and treated this way at any mcdonalds. They're serving old sour tea that I got through the drive thru, I went in to dump it out see if the tea at the fountains were any better. As I used my hard earned money that i value, I'm not settling for sour old tea. I had the manager I'm assuming come up to question me if I had bought it and told me I was stealing his tea, I am beyond upset. Told me well no one else complained, you take a sip of that and tell me it tasted good. Whoever is supposed to be switchingout the teas has failed and that falls on you. It wasn't the fact of what you were saying "Mr. Manager" it's how you handled it calling me a thief when I just went through the drive thru, and purchased my goods. Maybe you should check into it before accusing someone of something they didn't do. You should not hold the position you do, clearly you have no idea to handle customers and reflecting on your reviews this is common for this location. Seek better managemnt and I'm sure your reviews and reputation would improve. Do not go here if you wish to be treated as a...
