Nautica Joe's Cafe — Restaurant in Brunswick

We were in Brunswick, GA yesterday and ran into a local that recommended this Cafe. I had originally ear-marked another restaurant. We decided to try Nautica Joe's because of the local's recommendation. I had the Turkey Reuben and my husband had the Patty Melt. When the food was brought to our table it looked delicious. Upon taking my first bite of the fries - they were cold - and then taking a bite of the Turkey Reuben, I changed my initial thoughts. The worst part of my Reuben was the fact that the bottom piece of bread was SOOOO soggy! I ultimately had to take out all of the meat, most of the cheese and all of the sauerkraut and eat it with a fork. Not exactly my idea of a Reuben sandwich on Rye. I don't know why the bread was SOOOO soggy - bread not toasted enough, different type of rye bread, sauerkraut not drained? Who knows? My husband's Patty Melt was also soggy - but he can eat most anything. I can honestly say that we will not be eating at Nautica...

This is a great lunch place. The location in downtown Brunswick is perfect to be able to walk around afterwards and visit some shops or sit in one of the lovely squares. Hard to choose with so many options, Wraps, Subs, Sandwiches, Salads, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Quesadillas! Menu is uploaded. I ordered a delicious chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread with pasta salad as the side item. The sandwich was overflowing with chicken salad, not too much mayo, and the bread was soft. It was very tasty. The pasta salad was soooo delicious. The taste was not an overpowering Italian dressing but rather light tasting and a bit creamy. I'll definitely order both items again. I will probably upsize the pasta salad. I did have 1/2 a sandwich leftover that I enjoyed for lunch the next day. I'll be a regular take out customer. The inside has limited seating, however, our weather is lovely most days so enjoy sitting outdoors in one of the lovely downtown...

Tried to get business to help support local high school, but since it was not Glynn Academy it was a no go. I did not know it mattered what high school you attended to be placed on a discount card.

RESPONSE: If that was the conversation on the phone, rather than saying we normally only do GA and we are all GA alumni, then there would have not been a comment made regarding your business. Yes many businesses that normally participate have turned down being on cards, which is reason why we are asking instead of just adding a business on there without their knowledge.

Finds it funny to see the same restaurant that I called regarding discount cards is on a Glynn Academy card but you support all Glynn...
