Looking for somewhere with a good vibe and decent priced food? Don't come here! My sister bought food through DoorDash to pick up at The Social Goose. The told her the order could not be completed due to bad lobster meat. ($130 order by the way.) So when they called she told them she would like to cancel the cheese curds they also ordered so that they could all see what they wanted instead and make a new order. After telling the woman at The Social Goose several times she did not want the cheese curds anymore and to cancel the whole order, they told her to cancel through DoorDash. Well, she never got the chance to cancel it because when she went to cancel the order, The Social Goose had already went ahead and cooked the cheese curds. That she had said several times on the phone to not cook as she was going to cancel the order on the app. So she got charged $130 for an order she never received. She had called them several times in the last few days to get a refund and most of the time they would take down her name and number and management wouldn't get back to her. Finally she reached management and they said they don't have her money since they don't get the money through DoorDash until the end of the month. (DoorDash isn't giving her a refund since the order "was completed" on their end.) The Social Goose hasn't offered her any sort of refund or solution (as of today) I have never been so appalled by...
Read moreI cant say i encountered any short rude men in red hats, but what i did experience was nothing short of knowing I'd be back for more.
Having helped (in miniscule amounts) bring the social goose to life was an honor. Not many people get to witness their friends ideas transition from paper to a real life working, and thriving establishment. I share that tidbit because walking into the goose and seeing the smiles, the laughter, and smelling the amazing food makes me proud. They have absolutely captured that "family atmospere" and ran with it.
If you're taking the time to read this, do yourself a favor... put on something that makes you feel good, grab yourself a table, and experience the restaurant that Brunswick has been missing. Maybe if you're lucky enough Noah will be slinging some of the tastiest cocktails or mocktails Main st has to offer.
Give it time, but mark my word the Social Goose will become a staple in the little community we call Main...
Read moreI was in town for only a couple of days. I have been looking forward to trying this place for a couple of weeks now. It did not disappoint.
The burger was smashed, the roll was soft. Two patties was just enough. I don't usually get excited about a smash burger, but this place is delicious. It's not often I get a burger that makes me want to explore new culinary horizons. The tots were cooked all the way through and were just salty enough (some places leave them a little too soft for my taste).
My buddy got the Maine Street Corn. It was very cheesy and delicious looking with plenty of chicken.
They have rotating taps for several local breweries. I didn't have time to make stops at each one, so I was happy to try several local beers in one place. They have full liquor too, if that's your speed.
The place was clean and there was plenty of seating for our late-ish dinner. I highly recommend you give this place a try when...
