I frequent Starbucks, especially while traveling! As such, I'm always on the look out for locations that have something special. I found one!
First, the food & drink: yummy, as expected. We ordered some of our usual drinks and tried something new. We ordered the hot cafe mocha, the cold vanilla bean cream Frappuccino, and the new cinnamon caramel cream cold brew. The new Cinnamon Caramel Cream Cold Brew is STOUT. As expected, the nitro is strong but the cinnamon caramel cream is complex. The caramel is sweet but the cinnamon is kinda bitter. It accentuated the bitterness of the coffee. I'm not sure its love, but usually I gravitate to the extremely sweet flavors. We also had a delicious chocolate croissant, definitely try them warmed.
Secondly, the atmosphere and attitude of the batistas working today was exceptional. Everyone behind the counter was smiley and kind. Then, I found the little gem of this spot! They have a cute little gratitude box! It was right on the counter and easily accessible to the customers and the employees. I looked through some of the blank ones and some that were filled out. As I was looking, one of the baristas explained the idea to me. She said when they are having a challenging or rough day, the employee can grab a card or 2 and get a little lift. Some of the notes were from the employees to each other. There were things like "I'm thankful for my coworkers" and "(so-and-so) picked up a shift for me", among others. There were generic ones like "I know people can suck but I'm thankful you're here", and "keep your head up". Here's my take: happy workers make happy customers make happy workplaces make happy workers, and around and around. Definitely worth a stop to fill up on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat store. BUT this review is for my fellow reviewers. Yes, you reading this. Do you ever stop to think about someone elseās experience or day? For example, some of you saying this store has super long wait times... maybe thatās because everyone and their cousin wants Venti Frappuccinos at the same time you do. You see that the line is wrapped around the store and you choose to sit there. You also choose to be rude to the people making everyoneās drinks. Itās coffee people, not the liver you need to live. Calm down and enjoy the fresh air while you are sitting in the drive thru. There are plenty of people who canāt afford a Starbucks coffee in this world. Be thankful you GET to drink that latte. If waiting is too much for you... coffee machines are like $20.00 at Walmart and I will give you that $20.00 if thatās what it takes for disrespectful and self centered people to stop spreading their negativity. This store is the only one in that area and itās right off of a major interstate. ITS GOING TO BE BUSY. To the people who go inside; the baristas can see you standing at the counter with a pouty face watching their every move. Youāre not the only person to have done that within the day much less within the hour. You are only one of everyone else who wants their caffeine. You are also not their only rotten egg that they have to deal with. I have watched people throw drinks on Starbucks employees. I have watched people insult the way the baristas made their Frappuccino (it was correct). Iāve seen countless of people saying, āhey can you make mine next, Iām in a hurryā.. so the other ten families in front of you arenāt? Ok. Be kinder to the people next to you, because they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I have attempted to like this location but itās very difficult. Every single time we have come (which letās be honest is too many to count) they mess up our coffees so badly. Itās never consistent, and when we went yesterday there was actual espresso grounds in my drink. Like, enough to make the drink grainy. I donāt know how this is possible as I know most of their espresso equipment is totally automatic, but it happened. We didnāt want to come to this location due to all the stuff thatās happened in the past, but the location nearest to us shut down unexpectedly for a corona outbreak among local baristas. As it was once again not worth it, we regretted making this trip instantly.
The remainder of this review is in reference to my past experience with this store, prior to coronavirus. The indoor seating is incredibly limited and crowded together, but somehow itās always packed. So itās not only bursting with a lot of people in such a small space, but itās LOUD. The bathrooms are hidden behind the merchandise wall, and I feel like the baristas judge the people who use them as you have to walk right past them and the bar to squeeze back there. Generally the bathrooms are kept clean, but just like with everything, it could be better. The outdoor seating is also quite limited and fenced in, as the drive thru usually has cars backed up all around it. Not pleasant in the slightest.
In a nutshell, my husband and I will likely not be back to this location due to all of the negative experiences weāve endured here, and we recommend the management to retrain...
