On 22 March I had a 90th birthday party for my husband at the Main Street Event Center in Benton, AR. I ordered a three tiered cake from Harps and was very explicit as to what I wanted. I paid $300 for the cake and $60 to have it delivered. It was delivered on time; however, it was not the cake I ordered. I ordered the cake to be decorated with the bottom layer to be Navy to match the color scheme and the other two layers to have gold dripping down. I got a white cake with what looked like beads around each layer and a few gold flakes. I told the two ladies that it was not what I had ordered and was extremely disappointed. They said sorry. I called the store manager and was told they were sorry and the bakery manager would call me, which she did. She apologized and said he decorator thought it looked better. I informed them I was very disappointed and would never order anything from them again or buy at their store. The store offered to refund some of my money if I go in an pick it up. In my opinion the decorator should be better trained and instructed to do what the customer wants or at least suggest the alternative. My advice: Make sure you are very explicit with Harps and check it out before your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didnāt feel like walking around to much at Kroger today so I went to harps again. Itās about the third or fourth time Iāve been. I like the environment, itās slower paced then big box grocery stores which is nice since I have a young child with me. From what Iāve noticed they have some different products I havenāt seen at other grocery stores which is nice to have some different options. Itās very organized and clean. Prices are fairly competitive, on some items they have some opportunity to be more competitive but overall itās a positive experience and worth it in the end. I still shop at Kroger 9/10 because of online shopping with coupons and delivery to the car but I will return to harps for speciality items and or things I can only get there. I highly recommend the rainbow cookies....it was seriously one of the best cookies I have ever had and my daughter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should have gone to Kroger. Today I picked up about $30 worth of groceries. The cashier rang me up and said, " That will be $52." I told him that couldn't be right, and he started to argue with me. It turns out he rang me up for $20 worth of items i didn't have in my basket. It was way too casual for him to insist that i was wrong, and it made me suspect that they are probably in a regular habit of ripping people off, particularly this store's typically geriatric customer base. The manager did apologize for the delay, but said nothing about his impudent cashier that was trying to overcharge me. The customer is always right? Not when Harps is trying to steal from you. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HARPS AGAIN....
