TJ Maxx, y'all have to do better than this. I went in for one item today and fortunately got in the line before it really piled up. I had one person in front of me and two in the process of being rung up. At first, there was one cashier, then another reluctantly joined, and I still stood there for an unjustifably long time, as the two cashiers were moving with zero urgency. Two customers behind me became understandably disgusted and walked out, telling one cashier their opinion on the way out. At one point, a shift lead (I assume) came to the front, looked at something, and then walked off. She saw the line and should have jumped in, but she didn't.
I have worked in retail since 1998, and I have a lot of patience and understanding for front line employees, but their slow and casual approach to concluding transactions shows either poor training, or a simple lack of concern. Some days are super busy, which I understand, but when it's like that, you need to pick up the pace to the best of your ability. As I was leaving, they finally announced on the overhead for all available cashiers to hit the front. That should have been done as soon as the line was becoming...
Read moreI am a very disappointed and very unsatisfied customer. This was once one of my favorite stores to shop. Being I live a hour from the city when I get to town this was my one of favorite places to shop. But today, I got to the checkout counter paying with cash. I wasn’t buying just 1 cheap item. I had a arm load. I was told I had to pay with my debt card if I didn’t have exact change. So sense my cash I had in hand wasn’t good enough to spend in here then the cash I have in my bank account isn’t being spent either. I don’t believe we have a coin shortage. I believe we have poor management or lazy cashier problem. So unfortunately for them I will go do business elsewhere that excepts my cash money even if I have to pay a little bit more. It’s well worth knowing a company values there customers cash business as much as there customers...
Read moreThis store is my local store, and always has better merchandise than other stores I've visited. I stop in at least once a week. The past couple of months, I have decided not to purchase anything due to the length of the check out lines. I had to purchase something today, & waited for 35 minutes until I got to the front. A woman, who I could only see as a manager, strolled up just as slow & as leisurely as she could. There were only 2 girls working the checkouts & they were visibly stressed. This manager walked behind the counter, did not even look at the girls, grabbed a sign about gift cards & walked away, just as slow as she came. I'd really hate to see poor management be the reason this store loses business. Hopefully this can...
