Visiting The Chocolate Shoppe in Bryson City, NC was an absolute treat for the senses! As soon as you walk in, the intoxicating aroma of freshly made fudge and waffle cones envelops you, creating an instant feeling of joy and anticipation. This charming shop truly is a haven for chocolate enthusiasts and dessert lovers alike.

The first thing that struck me was the incredible variety of chocolates on display. From classic favorites to innovative creations, The Chocolate Shoppe seems to have it all. Every corner of the store held something new and exciting, making it impossible to choose just one favorite. I found myself exploring the beautifully arranged shelves and cases, my taste buds tingling in anticipation.

And oh, the fudge! The moment I took my first bite, I knew I had discovered something truly special. The fudge at The Chocolate Shoppe is an embodiment of perfection – creamy, rich, and bursting with authentic flavors. Each piece seemed to melt in my mouth, leaving behind a heavenly sensation that's hard to forget.

Let's not forget about the freshly made waffle cones, either. The crispy, warm aroma that fills the air as they're being prepared is only a precursor to the delightful experience of enjoying a scoop of their premium ice cream nestled inside one of these delectable cones. It's like a match made in dessert heaven.

What truly sets The Chocolate Shoppe apart is not just the quality of their products, but the evident passion and dedication that goes into every creation. It's clear that the chocolatiers here take immense pride in crafting each piece, resulting in a symphony of flavors that dance on your palate.

From the friendly and knowledgeable staff who are more than happy to help you navigate the vast selection, to the cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger, every aspect of The Chocolate Shoppe contributes to an exceptional experience.

My visit to The Chocolate Shoppe in Bryson City, NC was nothing short of delightful. The enchanting aroma, the diverse array of chocolates, the heavenly fudge, and the warm waffle cones all combined to create a memory that I'll cherish. If you're in search of a place where your sweet tooth dreams come true, look no further than The Chocolate Shoppe. It's an experience that's worthy of all five...

Update: Thank you to the owner for addressing this. I will update my review trusting this is not a standard for your business.

Lisa, as a former retail worker, a MBA graduate, and parent of a 17 year old hs student who works for a pizza shop, I disagree with you. Closing at 9pm does not mean clock out at 9pm. Businesses are in business to sell their products and services. Operating hours are to operate until the posted close time, and THEN employees are to work on items to close for the day. Of course there are "pre outs" that you can do if business slows before closing. My son usually does not clock out until 45 min to 1 hour after the posted closing time to handle the cleaning, dishes, prep for the next day, etc.

As a business owner, I am not sure I would be happy with $200-$500 in lost sales per week ($10-20k per year) from my employees refusing to serve customers the products that I offer during my posted business hours.

And, thanks for the wise advice. We actually did go to Ingles to buy ice cream for our families and kids and all of our big ol warm hearts....

Friday night, 8:40 pm, closed ice cream station early. We had 9 people with us, and we watched 15 more walk in and out while standing out on the sidewalk. Mind boggling for these kids working to screw the business out of hundreds of dollars of business due to their laziness. Mayfields Soda shop across the street has 30+ people in line at the same time....

Update 7/22: I came back here for the 2nd time since the last time I came which was 2.5 yrs ago and it was just as wonderful! Got the Dutch apple again (called a couple of days before to reserve one) and it was just as amazing as last time. I also ordered the milk chocolate sea salt caramel which was delicious and the peanut butter fudge which was incredible (soft texture). I highly recommend ordering these sweets, you will be happy with your purchase

Perfect place for sweets! The caramel apples are amazing. I ordered the milk chocolate caramel apple and it was very yummy. I was in town on Vaca and had asked about getting one of their dutch apples but unfortunately they had run out. They were nice enough to get one ready for me before I left to come back home. Let me say the dutch apple was a killer and then I understood why they were sold out. It's a green caramel apple dipped in white chocolate and is dipped in this cinnamon sugar mixture. It smelled and tasted magnificent. The chocolate fudge was really good and had a soft consistency which I enjoyed. The chocolates I got were great. I just wish this place was closer. I will be ordering online in the near future bc I can't stop craving their apples. If your in the area, you have to...

Sweet Stop Worth Every Scoop – The Chocolate Shop in Bryson City Tucked into the charm of Bryson City is The Chocolate Shop—a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth or a soft spot for small-town goodness. The ice cream here is top-notch: rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Whether you go classic or try something new, each scoop feels like a little reward after a day in the mountains. But let’s talk about those waffle cones—crispy, warm, and clearly homemade. They’re the kind of cones that don’t just hold the ice cream—they elevate it. The staff? Just as sweet. Friendly, patient, and helpful, even when the line starts to grow. They took their time without making anyone wait too long, and it made the whole experience feel thoughtful and easy. If you’re wandering downtown and need a treat, this place hits the spot. Simple, nostalgic, and full of flavor—just the way a chocolate shop should be.
