Everyone has an opinion on bagels depending where they’re from but we can all agree a good bagel sandwich always deserves respect and these bagel sandwiches deserve a full salute. We stayed in BC for 5 days and came here twice for the Spicy Southerner. Finally, a bagel sandwich packed with flavor and filling - homemade pimento cheese sauce, egg, bacon, and added toppings that make the flavor that much better with a bit of spice to round it off. And yes, the bagel was homemade, and delicious, and yes, we ate the spicy southerner 3 times but all the sandwiches on the menu look equally as unique and flavorful - we just found a favorite and stuck with it! Staff was super nice and helpful and food was prepared with care and quickly - excellent stop for breakfast/lunch.

Wow, so delicious. The line moved rather quickly, staff were friendly and helpful, and we all enjoyed our meal! We went basically for brunch and we were all satisfied until dinner. Our table got loaded grits, a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich, a chocolate muffin, and the Mount Laconte bagel. The Mount Laconte (on sundried tomato bagel) was unbelievable - so many flavors, a kick with the aoili, and filling. The loaded grits came to the table and our jaws dropped! Really loaded! Drinks were great. The only weird thing was that people had moved chairs around, but it really seems they could have a few more chairs inside to accommodate people at their tables comfortably. We did manage to find a table inside before our food was ready though. Overall, highly recommend!

My wife and I stopped in after rafting today. I had the spicy southerner on a sun dried bagel. It’s pimento cheese, arugula, bacon, tomato, egg and Sriracha. I had mine without the egg and Sriracha. As a southerner I have been eating sandwiches since before I could walk. By far this was the best sandwich I have had in a very long time. The pimento cheese was outstanding. I had a slice of German chocolate cheesecake. Outstanding. My wife got the cinnamon bun. I have been to many places and have had many cinnamon buns, even in Paris. Best cinnamon bun ever. I don’t have pictures of my sandwich because o didn’t slow down to snap a photo.

i had high hopes for my latte here but alas was dissapointed. The location is great and the atmosphere is nice, but when we visited on the friday after new years the place looked like it needed some help. all the tables were dirty, the displays were empty (and it wasnt even lunchtime yet) and the counter service took awhile.

I selected the Firetower latte which is listed as: A chocolate, cinnamon, and cayenne latte. This latte has heat! It was named after the fire towers scattered throughout the Smokies that were once manned by guards who could report fires.

well...this was water with cayenne. there was no coffee/espresso flavor in it at all. there was no creaminess from milk that you expect from a latte. it definitely had cayenne and cinnamon, but thats all you could taste. I wouldnt be surprised if this was instant coffee powder with the flavoring cuz that's how awful it was. I took three sips and tossed it on the way back to the car. My husband got the banana fontana which is listed as:A caramel and cinnamon latte with real banana that is named for our local lake Fontana. and the ONLY thing we tasted was fake banana, like so much banana syrup you couldnt taste anything else and it was chemically. he also tossed his drink after a few sips cuz it was just awful.

It was dissapointing, and we wont be back unfortunately. Hoping it was an off day because there was potential here with how cute the spot is and...

Being visitors in Bryson City, we were excited to support the local restaurants. We decided to check out Mountain Perks for breakfast & was immediately disturbed by the poor customer service. With us being aware that most restaurants are busy, or even short-staffed, we still have the patience & understanding coupled with excitement of a new experience. Hearing from the staff at MountainPerks say "If you're in a hurry, you need to leave & go to McDonald's." Was extremely off-putting. We decided to go to La Dolce Vita Bakery instead. They were just as busy with many patrons waiting, but we were greeted with a smile, patience & even had some of our to-go order brought out to us. We would like to take the time to thank & appreciate the staff for making us feel special regardless of how busy it was! We are super grateful that your establishment could provide a memorable experience in...

We have had coffee or eaten here 3 days this week.

The food is good. My sister loved the grits. My daughter liked the bagel sandwich. My grandkids really liked the double chocolate muffin.

The coffee is good here, everyone that got coffee was very happy with it.

Unfortunately I can’t drink coffee so I always get a chai. They make their own mix and frankly it’s terrible. I wish it wasn’t so. I wanted to love it but it’s just awful. So that is only one menu item - everything else is great. The bad chai is what knocked 2 stars off. Because that is the whole reason I went there. The first day I got iced, I threw it away after 2 sips. The second day I got it hot, I threw it away after 2 sips. The last day I just got water.

The staff is awesome! And it is a cute place right by the train station. So if you don’t drink chai - it...
