Great Smoky Mountains railroad — Attraction in Bryson City

Absolute best train ride adventure we ever did.

We booked the cheapest option on the Nanthala Gourge Route and choose the open air wagon called Topton. I can not recommend it enough. Our 6y old has been talking for months about going on a train ride and it was all we hoped for.

The conductors/ ticket inspectors were so funny. Shout-out to Rear Breakman Cuda who did a little high five game with our daughter everytime he passed through. The musician was also very fun.

The ride itself was just so wonderful, the river, fontana lake and just all the beautiful green. It was an experience for sure.

The stop at the Outdoor Center was also cool to watch people train for the Kanoe slalom and to see all the white water rafters on the way.
