First and last time ever eating here. Going to go over my visit from arrival outside to exit. 1. No parking, not a big deal, I parked about 3 blocks and walked over. Place was busy so I was expecting that meant it was good. (I was wrong ). Spoke to the host and got on the list. They said it would be about 30 minutes, thats fine. Pretty normal for a Saturday night at any decent restaurant. We sat down in the waiting area, and it begins. Absolutely horrible lay out for a restaurant, everything is funneled through the waiting area. Customers coming in and out, servers going in and out, multiple near collisions between customers and staff. The waiting area is a 4 way intersection that everything comes through. There was no AC or fans anywhere and it was miserably hot. We had sweat dripping everywhere. I feel bad for the employees. They called our names after about 20 minutes. We got to our table and waited maybe 10 minutes for a server, not a huge deal, the servers were working hard. Our server came up, didn't give us a name, and wanted our food order, keep in mind we hadn't even been asked for our drink order yet. So we ordered our drinks, starter, and dinner. Maybe 15 minutes go bye and we get our appetizer. Jalapeño poppers. One of my favorites. The poppers were good, same generic poppers that alot of places have. 15 minutes later and our food was served. Our food and the pictures online definitely looked like different places. Personally I'm not much on fancy presentations. I definitely care more about the taste and portion size. Regardless of the presentation we started examining our food. My burger was supposed to come with bacon and a few other things. Didn't have bacon and the burger was overcooked. They put half a onion on it, plus the carmilized onions that definitely weren't carmilized. Made me think it was going to be super bland.( It was. ) My onion rings were ok, again same generic frozen onion rings that fast food places have. The pickle spear was also missing from my plate. For my girlfriends food, her burger was undercooked, again an entire onion, no pickle spear, and more jalapeños than I've ever seen on a burger and she loves jalapeños. So much so that she couldn't even taste her bacon jam burger. We get our bill and started sweating even more. Our bill for this place was as much as our red lobster bill for us and our daughter. One of the worst burgers I've ever had. I requested medium-rare and was told that medium was as close as the would serve it. It was dry and bland. Another one of my party had the same result with a different burger. The three year old burned his mouth on his order. The panini was the only item that was acceptable. The five of us were provided a total of two napkins.

Service was slow when it was provided at all. After asking for napkins twice with no results one of our party went inside and got some from the bar.

It also took two requests for a bill. When it finally arrived and I gave our server my card she took so long to return that half of my party left and went back to the car while I waited.

But wait, there's more!

I was so upset by then that I did not notice until the next day that my card had not been returned. And to top off a perfectly horrible experience, I found that my tip had been inflated by $10. The owner assures me that it was a mistake and my account will be credited. I'm still waiting.

Update 11/6/2018:

The owner called yesterday and said that they had determined that other people and reported similar problems with this server and the problem has been dealt with. They refunded the entire cost of my meal and asked for another chance to earn my business next time I am in town. This was considerably more than I had asked for or expected.

I still can't recommend the burgers, but I'm adding back several stars to the review that I had removed due to the poor service. If I could rate each section individually I'd give 3 stars for the meal (3 of 5 meals were tasty and well presented), -2 stars for the horrid service, and 5 stars for the response after the fact.

I will try them again next time...
