ANTHEM Coffee & Tea | Verrado — Restaurant in Buckeye

My only assumption for the high rating is because it is local and not many options in the area. I have tried the original location and the new location and the coffee is bland is mediocre. They also are NOT pet friendly, at least to me and my 2 pugs. Wanted to order coffee, sit outside and read but the young lady who works inside stated that they have to follow health codes. When asked where was it ok for me and my dogs to go, she repeated herself about the health codes. I asked again where is a good spot for us then and she said by the post. I asked where to post was, and she said on the bench. I’m not sure if the outside tables belong to the smoothie place, so I would suggest clear signage and labels on where pets and their owners are welcome. Maybe even having a barista by the door to take orders so I welcomes guests can order outside. I understand if I was sitting inside with my dogs however this was not the case. I have tried this place a few times but after today I won’t be back. Sticking to Jackrabbit Java, where the coffee and service is exceptional.

Let me begin by saying I went to the verrado location for many months until going to this new location. Today my father and i went threw the drive threw order veggie sandwich no avacado. Get home there’s avacado! A ton! So i personally go back and wait in the drive threw line and order another veggie sandwich no avacado and i open my box take a bite and welp, there’s avacado. I immediately panic and go inside as I’m standing in like to ask my my money back my mouth begins to itch and i have to speak with someone, this women looks at my box and asks how she can help and i let her know this is the second sandwich I’ve gotten and now you’ve poisoned me and I’d like my money back. She said no. We can make another sandwich and this is the privilege in America i hate. How dare you serve someone something after being told They cannot eat it and then instead of giving them back their hard earned money; you force them to eat more food from your establishment. I had to use my epi pen after being served at this facility and Andrea cared not one bit. Sadly having to update my review from 5 years ago when this was my favorite coffee house anywhere. First thing the new owner did was destroy the vibe. Now that the change-over is complete we see the full effects. No more local flare. If you go back through old reviews there's many mentions about the low prices. This was a small community coffee house that was known for its atmosphere, service, quality products, and good prices. Now its just another chain with average products and above average prices. My favorite breakfast sandwich is no longer available. Fortunately my sons favorite is available, but it used to be 4.50. Now its 8.50 for the exact same sandwich. My favorite drink is no longer available, which was also 4.50. My new option is over 8.00. The only difference is the size of the new owners ego.
