I love Tudors, but I have to say i was sorely disappointed today. We ordered our food, my husband got pancakes and biscuits with gravy, I got the low carb platter with sausage. I love to dip my sausage in syrup so when the lady brought the food out I asked for a little thing of extra syrup, to which we were told, "In the future you'll be charged for extra syrup as what is in the little cup is EXACTLY two servings of syrup.". We told her we'd happily pay for the syrup, that's not my issue, and was told no, that she was the manager and she wanted us to know there's a charge for syrup. So, you're actually measuring syrup? Now, again, I'd have happily paid for the syrup, but you offer jelly packs, ketchup, hot sauce, salt, pepper, sugar at the table but are going to charge for a little bit of extra syrup? Just a bit of advice is that in the future if your upcharging for syrup you may want to put that on your pricing list with the menu. You mean to tell me that a customer paying 20 to 30 dollars that Tudors can't afford a small bit of syrup on the side? I'll be taking my business down the road to Huddle House, or IHOP, where they don't upcharge for syrup. It's already on the table with the ketchup, jelly, hot sauce, etcetera. You can keep your carefully...
Read moreGreat place to eat in Buckhannon I learned about Biscuit world on recent trips to West Virginia. Until this visit, I had never visited or eaten at one of these locations. There seems to be at least one in every town. There are over 70 of these restaurants with many of them in WV. I have eaten at four of these locations on this trip alone and have always been pleased. This visit was not any different. It is located in a stand-alone building next to a Walmart. There is plenty of parking in front and adjacent to the site. You order at the counter and get a number that allows them to bring your food to the table. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner but I very much like their breakfast. Their biscuits are very good. The tea is excellent and their eggs are cooked to order. A classic breakfast is about $5.29 and you get 2 eggs made to order and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham, and toast or a buttermilk biscuit. It is a good amount of food at a price. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The dining room was a mix of booths and tables. The restaurant was clean. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow travelers who are hungry and visiting the...
Read moreI don't mind this place, the sweet tea is good and their prices aren't bad if you know what to get. Personally, I go for the Low Carb platter which is bacon and eggs or a BLT sandwich. You can also get a grilled cheese, hamburger, or country fried steak.
The menu is something like a home kitchen if you've lived anywhere in the middle or southern part of the country. Biscuits and gravy or fried apples with cinnamon. My only complaint is that it's always such a heavy smell when you walk in, but that's simply because it's not my personal taste in the food.
I've found things that I can get for $8.00 or less and enjoyed having a quick bite from them every once in a while. The blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls aren't bad, either. You'll love this place if you enjoy Cracker Barrel, but I will say that there isn't as much flavor as you'll find at bigger chains.
I'd love to see the staff get paid more and have some extra, well-qualified help because they always seem so busy and loaded down with...
