Subway — Restaurant in Buena Vista

To the person that complained about the "Korean" teenagers 7 months ago. I love how automatically you just assume since they are of Asian decent that they must be "Korean" they couldn't just be teenagers, you had to point out their race. Within the first sentence I can already imagine what kind of person you must be. I can also assume you've never worked a day in customer service in your entire judgmental life. You also must be a tourist. How can I tell? Because 7 months ago would be peak summer time season in our little town. A time when "Tourists" come from all over not just colorado, but from everywhere else to partake in our summer time events. I can also tell because the locals of this town are understanding that the few restaurants that are available tend to run out of things from time to time because of how many there are not. Most of the people who travel here are wonderful. They are kind, they are understanding that in a small mountain town of 6000 plus people they are things that they are not gonna have access to like in a large city. Fast food chains being one of them. The subway restaurant in Buena Vista, Colorado is one of the busiest subways in the entire state. If you happen to be one of the 400+ people that walk through those doors a day during the summertime you would understand why. Why maybe they from time to time might be out of pickles, cucumbers, chicken etc.. or how maybe a few tables might be dirty, or a napkin or two under the tables left from clumsy customers could happen. When you are that busy for that long, yes any establishment will run out of goods and will be dirty. What should count is how friendly and how willing they were to accommodate you for having a bad experience. They could of simply told you there was nothing they could do and ignored you like some restaurants would tend to do. especially if they had to tend to hundreds of rude, impatient, cranky people all day long. Nope you choose to not be understanding of the place you are in and would rather complain on the internet over something the employess have no control over. No one made you travel for hours and hours to come visit our town. No one is making you stay either. So do us all a favor and don't come back if you are going to be this upset about not having cucumbers on your sandwhich or a dirty table during the summer. And that goes for any other tourists that come here and complain in our grocery stores or in our restaurants. This is not a city. This town was not meant for the volume of idiots that we get every summer. There are other places to hike, swim, bike, raft, jump, scream and especially complain...

There were two Korean teenagers working and only one was pleasant. The girl was annoyed that we were even in there. They were out of Cucumbers, Provolone Cheese, Chicken Teriyaki, Tuna, Mayo, napkins, and apparently carbonation. ... All soda was flat and when I asked, the kid came around tried it and said "Oh yeah, that tastes bad!". He went back and then said "We are out of that as well, can I get you something else like a cookie or something?" Yeah that's just what I want.... a nice dry cookie to wash my undersauced sandwich(because they ran out of sauce when making my sandwich) down! I asked for one of the sodas in the cooler behind the counter and he said oh yeah we could do that. The place was dirty. I watched the girl wipe her nose with the back of her gloved hand right over the top of the sandwich she was making. I heard the person behind me in line ask if that was a hair on his sandwich and the guy said yes I'll make you a new one and the girl said no it's not. The guy said yes it is we'll make a new sandwich. Then about 5mins later when I'm typing this review the girl working there sat down to take a break with her friends while the other guy worked the line by himself for the next 5 people to come through the line... make that 8....9.... oh now she decides maybe I should go see if he needs help... she doesn't even wash her hands and goes right back to work! Nasty place, stay away unless you want to get sick on what little bit of food they...

Room smelled.like dead fish. When we asked for a different room, we were told nothing was available. Asked again the next day and were to the same thing. Found out while checking out early that that room was not supposed to be used because they didn't know what was causing the odor. They did give me a 50% discount. They could not give me a receipt for the room because they couldn't work their system. They also charged my room to my daughter's credit card even though I gave my card when I checked in. Charged my daughter's credit card 3 times for the full amount. Manager was very rude and snarky when we tried to get it all straightedge out. Kept telling us to wait until Monday to check our bank (which was showing almost $2000 in charges for 3 nights had already cleared account) and that she was done dealing with the problem and walked out of the office. After talking to others in our group, they had similar stories of the Manager being rude, unable to get receipts, couldn't get clean towels, etc. This is the worst motel we have...
