We've started driving the extra 10 minutes to the Pittsburgh Mills location because this store is getting more frustrating with time. It's not uncommon to stand at the register for a while without anyone coming to take your order, and the drinks take FOREVER here. They often leave one person on bar, one on drive thru, and no one on register because the third person is in back. We've experienced this multiple times on weekend evenings and actually gave up and walked out a few nights ago because neither of the two people on the floor were coming to take our order or making eye contact with us/saying anything to us. The drink quality is also hit or miss, depending on who makes it. There's not a lot of consistency. Several weeks ago, we placed a to go order from Ocean Dragon in the same plaza (highly recommend) and ordered our iced coffees at the same time. Our Chinese food was ready at the same time as our coffee was. Iced coffees should not take the same amount of time to make as two entire meals - we were trying to figure out the time-space continuum math on that one. A lot of the employees seem pretty lackadaisical in terms of customer service and making haste. We've had the manager apologize a few times and say sorry things are taking a long time, but no one really starts moving faster. Some of the baristas are nice, but some of them are very over it and barely look at you. It's just not well-managed in terms of efficiency, training on making drinks, and employee attitude. I'm a huge Starbucks fan and a stockholder, so I really love the brand and give newer stores many chances when they pop up. We've just kind of given up on...
Read moreWent to Sarver Starbucks today. Manager Rachel, Ella and Kylee welcomed us and were providing samples of a seasonal drink which was delicious (great sales strategy to promote a new drink.) The girls were sharing how amazing Starbucks has been an an employer to them so far. This includes full payment of college tuition for one, great flexibility of hours for another in high school trying to balance school, work and extra curricular activities. We got to talking about how they are being received and treated by the public. They said the majority of people have been kind, friendly, welcoming and appreciative. They did say however, that some have been absolutely mean, rude and degrading, sometimes leaving them speechless and upset. Buffalo Township, we can do better. If you find yourself angry for any reason about Starbucks, think about driving a little farther to grab your own coffee drink at Get Go or Sheetz. The negative customers are truly in the minority, however the behavior of one rude person tends to overshadow the other 99 positive experiences.
Supporting Starbucks does not mean you can’t support every other local coffee business. It means you are supporting another tax paying business in our small community that employs local people.
The world is such a difficult place right now for so many people, for so many reasons. Please consider your words and actions when treating others In our community. Your heart can be seen in everything you say, in how you act in...
Read moreThis Starbucks location has some of the best service I have ever seen. Service includes so many different things, including customer education. I never knew that the way I was using the mobile order system was causing other customers to get their coffees later and keep the line moving slower. I thought I could just order and then pull into the drive-thru and it was the same as ordering at the drive-thru itself. But the staff member who was handling my order explained in such a polite way that in fact if I would just wait until the time that was listed on the app for my coffee pickup... Which I didn't even notice until she pointed it out... It would make things move more smoothly for everyone. And isn't that what we all want! Kudos to this staff person for being proactive. As someone who orders from Starbucks daily, her words will surely make an...
