We ordered the chicken burgers and the loaded fries. The food was super oily and wasn’t fresh. The chicken had no flavor and had the taste of like it being just straight up dipped in oil and handed to us the next second. The loaded fries were super dry and had hard fries, no sauce, and bland chicken (again).
Food is food so we didn’t care too much and just laughed it off because it was our first time trying out the place, happens to all of us. What really made me and my friends give this bad of a review to this new store, was the service. We were just sitting there after eating and just chatting and hanging out, playing cards. The worker came up to us after we were sitting there for half an hour, asking us “if what we were doing was okay”, to which we were so puzzled, like? Who asks that to paying customers. Then proceeds to give us a lecture on how we shouldn’t be staying after eating and playing cards and “hanging out” because it’s not business “ethical”.
We were so confused by what we heard and all of us collectively just finished the game and headed out. We were super nice to the lady that took our food, we tipped, didn’t even make a mess, cleaned up after ourselves, and didn’t do one bad thing. How dare the business owner come up to us and try to “lecture” paying customers. There was no business at that time either, the store was empty, there was no reason for him to have ruined the outing we had. Super disrespectful and horrible...
Read moreThe food here is honestly pretty good, and I’ve come multiple times before because I like supporting local spots. But I’m giving 1 star purely because of the customer service I experienced during my most recent visit. As a returning customer, I simply asked the server for a cup of water — nothing crazy. He kindly poured me one without any issue. Then, out of nowhere, the owner came out and told the server he wasn’t allowed to give me the water and never allowed him to hand it to me.
Excuse me? That was honestly wild. I was just sitting there confused. Like, what kind of policy is that? It felt petty, unwelcoming, and unnecessarily strict, especially toward someone who’s literally been giving you repeat business.
It wasn’t even about the water at that point, it was about how it was handled. The way the manager stepped in and publicly corrected the server over something so small just gave off super weird energy. Made me feel like I was doing something wrong for asking for basic hospitality.
I’ve always liked this place, but after that interaction, I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back. Food is one thing, but if you can’t treat loyal customers with basic courtesy, that’s a big red...
Read moreSo I’ve had Atomic wings maybe 10-15 years ago in Brooklyn NYC, also had it in Manhattan and in Niagara Falls, I normally give restaurants 3 chances. Yes it might be generous of me but anyone can have a bad day. Most people if they have 1 bad experience they will not go back.
I don’t think 1 bad experience should let you write off a restaurant. But this place has let me down 3 separate times. Once by myself, once with 5 of my friends. And last with my wife.
I like the food, their wings are okay, the atmosphere is okay, but the customer service, the overpriced food and the rude attitude to customers is the reason me and my friends aren’t going to come back. $3 for a Dasani $2 per wing Rude Manager
I would elaborate but take my word for it, this is not a place you want to go to enjoy some wings or a burger. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the employees were so terrible. And I eat out quite a bit not the healthiest thing to do but I’ve been to a lot of fried chicken spots.
Save yourself the time money and energy and go to Dave’s or HCK Hot Chicken. Would not be surprised if this place got shut down in a few months. It’s that...
