As someone born and raised from New York this cart really disappointed me. I was actually frustrated. I mean the combo/chicken/lamb over rice taste good the flavor is on point. But what’s the most important thing is the sauce. And without even asking for extra sauce. The entire platter should be covered in sauce. On top of that I ordered pita with it and with lacking sauce the entire thing seemed so dry I wanted to throw it out of frustration. And the price shouldn’t be 9 to 10 dollars for a platter especially if it don’t come close to an actual nyc cart which is actually around 6 to 7 dollars. But yeah add more sauce can’t be cheap with that and cheapen the price and business should be boomin. As you can see from the photo no sauce whatsoever and I only couple of bites. Like how am I supposed to finish the rest of the food as there is no more sauce to be eaten with? Please don’t forget to go beyond with the sauce. The more the better. Also for that size of the platter definitely should be more food especially if it’s going to cost 11 for all that. You can actually get two combos with that price back in New York. And majority of people is moving to buffalo from New York and will notice all that. So finesse the truck like it’s an actual New York halal cart. By the way don’t take offense flavor is good. But it’s really dry. And it can be frustrating not having things like New York or not...
Read moreMy overall experience is bad. It's location itself is not in a safe area. They don't have their own parking for your car. You have to find a place in the gas station next to it. When the gas station is busy, it's hard to find place to park. I didn't feel that safe at nighttime there. It's kinds of scary. Food itself is not good either. I bought three lambs over rice, none of them was tasty. Meat portion is very tiny with too much colored rice in it. They cut the meat into extremely tiny pieces. I didn't even feel that I was eating meat. Food taste is not appealing either. It's very disappointing. They charged me over $13 per meal but food was very ordinary. It's a food cart not a restaurant. But their price is not cheap at all compared to the quality and portion. I spent over $40 for no reason. I should have bought a subway sandwich instead. I don't understand how they manage to get 4-star customer reviews. In no way it should go over three-star max. That was the worst meat over rice I have ever experience. Compare to their food quality and portion of meat they provide; their food is expensive. I will never buy any more...
Read moreOver priced food coming from a truck. Especially platters. Maybe the sandwiches and burgers kind of reasonable for the pricing but since that’s a maybe that still may be over priced too. But for the platters it’s double the price without any condiments or pita. Once you do add all that total comes to around 15. Smart marketing scheme but they really tryna squeeze as much money out of you than to think of the actual purpose of halal carts or in this case truck. Purpose is to drop by after school, long day of work, or just need something quick to eat for a reasonable price that even broke people can afford. But instead this truck gentrified the whole purpose of food trucks or carts. It would make more sense If in a tourist location. But it’s not. Even in Manhattan wouldn’t find these prices. So yeah this food place just trying to take advantage of your money than to really feed the people. Save your money just go back to the city and get halal. I mean it’s more wholesome there anyways. The flavor and taste I wouldn’t say it’s as authentic. Which is why it’s even more ridiculous to charge double the price...
