Chris' NY Sandwich Co — Restaurant in Buffalo

Food is great, portions are large; prices are fair.

The people are not great though, had a bad experience yrs ago w/waitress trying to pull fast one with tips. Now it seems like every time we order, they forget something or get something wrong and if you call back to inquire about their error--you catch an attitude. Called in a large order for 8 people at 10:45am, told it will be 105 minutes till it's ready! LOL, it's sandwiches & salads. So, whatever--we send our guys at 12:30 & they still have to sit there for over 20 minutes before our food is ready? That's pitiful!

Their arrogance & rude behavior have to cost them a ton of money I would imagine. Oh well, I'll vote this place down every time my co-workers ask for it...

Much better service at Moura's or City Fare, same level of quality.

UPDATED: Nice unnecessary tone from owner, CAPS & "obviously", lol... -whatever guy; if you have problems with hiring or retaining help---that's tough in today's climate I get it-- but to use as an excuse to as to why we are always missing stuff, wait times are incorrect each and every time...and the worst offense of all---your staff is totally rude for no reason whatsoever; but I suppose I can see where that came from. Food is great, improve the restaurant's overall attitude, plz...

We may have hit lunch on an ‘off’ day, but despite wanting to love it here, there were too many issues. We were told right from the start a number of menu options were unavailable, but settled in on our order avoiding the items mentioned.. Smoked chicken bean soup was amazing, but when our orders came, one was totally wrong (a burger versus steak sandwich)- then we were told they were out of steak also. Blue cheese substitute on a salad versus the menu-stated gorgonzola also was disappointing. They had no butter for the delicious bread. Mixed bag here, but it would be difficult to give a great review. Atmosphere was also cute until visiting a ladies room with very old cobwebs and a bery dirty door, Table next to us also sent an inaccurate order back and one iof the waitresses said ‘uh oh’ when a party of 5 came in. My colleagues and I just left Chris and Sandwich Co. I've patronized this restaurant for more than 10 years. I raved about it because I love their food, especially their specialty salads. However, today was something that I have never experienced. The waitress we had was named Sue who seemed to be unfriendly from the very beginning. Our food came to the table at 12:01 pm and she brought our check and take out containers at 12:11 pm as if to say it was time for us to go. We were not finished eating nor did we ask for a container or our check. As much as I enjoyed dining at this place, I will never eat their again. Even though she is not the owner, the establishment will suffer because of her. I felt extremely insulted. I will never patronize any restaurant that make me feel as if I am not wanted. I work to hard to spend my money at a place who hires a worker that treats their customers in...
