This place is a SOLID 4.5 stars. We have ordered here about 8 times in the last 4-5 months. Always Take Out. The food is always delicious, fresh tasting, seasoned and spiced just perfect. Every time I have walked in, the young ladies at the host counter smile and are friendly. I have never experienced, attitude, snottiness or laziness like some of the other reviewers. And like I said, the food is DELICIOUS. Our smallest order has been an order of Fried Rice and Cream Cheese Wontons..... Our biggest order had been 9 entrees and 4 or 5 Appetizers, along with 4 or 5 orders of Fried rice. So like 17-19 items per order.

My family has ordered the following, and have been satisfied with it all: Cream Cheese Wontons, Pork Egg Rolls, Thai Fried Rice, Veggie Fried Rice, S&S Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Chicken Curry, Pad Thai, Orange Chicken, and another curry my son ordered, I don't remember. The food is really good. All of it.

Why is not 5 stars then?

  1. The indoor atmosphere/Decor turns us off. It seems cold and unwelcoming. It's not warm. Reminds me of a cafeteria. Might be why we only get take out. lol
  2. There has been once that my order was missing something, which is actually funny, because it was an entree and appetizer... They forgot the Appetizer. Although large orders we've never had that problem.
  3. (AND THIS IS THE MAIN ONE).... I am a texture person. I also do not like "soggy chicken". We live 20 min away. Even if I were to eat in the restaurant, I would ask for sauce on the side, so my chicken doesn't get soggy and "slimy" with sauce. I've ordered S&S Chicken, Sauce on the Side 7 times. They've followed that 5 times. Leaving twice where they put the sauce on the chicken. I've ordered General Tso's chicken, sauce on the side... once they followed the request. Tonight, they did not. So while the flavor and food is so very very good, I am having to choke down soggy, "slimy" chicken, because they put the sauce ON the chicken, instead of on the side. I really wish the kitchen would pay attention to this. It may just be me, but being a texture person, here I am hungry with really good tasting food in front of me, and I am having to check my gag reflex simply because of the texture. I have visited other Thai and Chinese places, and many automatically put the sauce on the side for take out orders, specifically because of this. Honestly, if the kitchen paid attention to the details a little more, and they warmed up the interior dining area, this would defiantly be a...

Not from town and didn't realize this restaurant was so new when we stopped in. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have went cause normally there's kinks that need to be worked out. No exception here.

Plenty of staff but waitresses weren't assigned to tables.. it was a free for all. A lady took our order (2 entrees and an app). 5 minutes later another lady came and tried to take our order again. 1 entree came out with the app. Husband's entree didn't come, and didn't come and didn't come. No one checked on us. I had to flag someone down after 20+ minutes to ask where his food was. She then, took the order again and went back to the kitchen. 10 minutes later, she brings out his entree with egg (which he asked for without egg, due to an allergy). We informed her of this.. and he told her, don't worry, you don't need to bring anything else. I was done eating at the time anyway. A short time later, she brings the food out anyway. So he ate finally. The food was decent. Had to get up and get my own to go containers since no one bothered to check on us. No one brought the check. No one refilled drinks. Or asked if we wanted dessert.

Then, get to the register to pay and they didn't offer any type of discount for literally messing it up twice then bringing the food anyway despite him telling them not to. Despite them bringing out some free food for some other table that got there after us and got there food way before us. Not that a discount is required but it's the right thing to do when you mess up a customers order multiple times then disregard what you're told and bring them food anyway.

Yes, I realize that a new restaurant is bound to have hiccups and kinks to work out. However, they could have made it so much easier by actually assigning servers to tables. Or, closing part of the dining area down to not be too full while they got used to it. Or not accepting online orders.

Even knowing they are new... this is a good way to lose customers early on. Because I certainly didn't feel great about the experience. I may give them a try again sometime but it certainly won't be...

Came at 6pm on a Saturday, 12 top they had a few tables but restaurant wasn't full. We ordered at 6:15. Ordered 5 appitizers, two chickens w/ the peanut sauce, two cream cheese wontons and avacado spring roll along with 12 entrees. The wontons came out at about 7. 7:10 one entree came out. 7:15 the chicken came. 730 more of the entrees come out, one came out with an error so had to be sent back. 7:45 still waiting for the spring rolls and a lo mein everyone else is done eating. Felt like they were under prepared on a Saturday night, food came in a wonky order but the food tasted fantastic though. I will be back eventually if the service is better i will update.

Update: ordered take out, got seseme chicken all the veggies are raw including a bundle of onion that wasn't even separated. its like they didn't even attempt to steam/cook them. Not sure if thats just how this place does it or if our order got rushed out the door but its an...

From the outside it doesn't look like much, but this is truly a hidden gem. The food and atmosphere was great! The menu has a picture of every dish, which every restaurant should do. I ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer. It came with a delicious peanut sauce to dip it in. My main entree was Pad Basil. It did not disappoint. The only Thai food I can remember having was Pad Thai, so I was a little hesitant to step out of that comfort zone, but I was glad I did. I can't wait to go back and try the other "Pad" dishes! The others at the table with me ordered Pad Thai and they all enjoyed it. One commented the it was, "better than Big Bowl." The spice you can add to each dish is rated 1-5. One being no spice an 5 being "Thai hot." I think it's just crushed red peppers they add, but not completely sure. I had a 4 and it was pretty spicy. Others had a 2, which was spicy for typical Minnesotans.

I was looking for a hot bowl of soup. The atmosphere is nothing special. Service was awesome. We ordered : Tom Yum with combination meats- rich flavorful broth plenty of meat, mushrooms, onions with a side of white rice- so yummy! Other dishes were: egg drop soup, green coconut curry soup, tofu soup, chicken lomein, spring rolls, chicken satay, spicy chicken wings, and finished with sweet rice coconut mango dessert ( the mangos came nicely sliced on top- we cut the mayo in squares lol - oh was this delish!) All the soups had their own flavors with great flavorful broths. Highly recommend this place- definitely will be back.

Oh my gosh! Our first time trying out Grace Thai Kitchen and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the service was friendly and attentive! The atmosphere is reminiscent of a cafeteria which is the only reason we didn't give them 5 stars a cross the board! The menu has lots of options from traditional Thai to more mainstream pleasers. We tried the shrimp spring rolls, pork gyoza, sesame chicken, pad lawn with chicken and the veggies fried rice. Delicious! *chefs kiss*
