A friend of mine and I were looking for a place to have some lunch while we were out bumming around looking for fall decor at antique stores. We popped into the the Thirsty Buffalo Saloon for a bite and a drink. It was game day, so the locals were in attendance cheering on their favorite team. Apparently on game day free shots are given when the state team makes a touchdown. We did not partake, but it sounds like fun!
The atmosphere was your typical sports like bar, with a rustic feel to it. Our server was fantastic and on top of his game. The menu was super surprising as they have a lot of options for apps and meals, both for lunch and dinner. The prices are reasonable and food was hot and made to order. There was seating in a dining area with low tables, at the bar and then high tops in the main bar, so...
Read moreIve have been her often with my service dog and never have issues except with one bartender! She is always extremely rude to me and disrespectful! Today I was sitting outside with my friend we had one beer and my dog was sitting under our table. She came out and said " he needs to have his leash on im not kidding" extremley rudely I didnt see an issue because he is a very well trained dog and nobody else was outside. I apologize and asked her not to be so rude about it! She came back out 5 min later and slaps the bill on the table and said " next time listen" like what in the actual eff! He wasn't running around at all or bothering anyone! This lady is the worst and I honestly will not be recommending this place to anyone ever! Its really unfortunate because I can walk here and am a new...
Read moreThe food is ok. I'd say above average for a bar, but nothing to rave about. The service was excellent. The staff here was great. Atmosphere-wise.. holy freaking cold... I've been cold in restaurants before, but we were freezing. The dining room is insanely cold. I know that it's because it was below 0 outside but seriously.. the owners need to do something big to fix this. We came for bingo and I was surprised at how empty the place was. I soon realized why. I'll never come back when it's cold outside. I'm sure many people feel this way. I'm a Minnesotan and I don't mind going out in the cold. It's part of living here. I don't want to "brave the cold" while sitting inside a restaurant though. There are too many options for "ok" food and bingo to suffer through freezing my butt...
