Read moreI’ve been to Patina250 twice. The first time was awesome so I wanted to go back, but this time changed my mind completely and I will NEVER go back. I had a group of 7 females who decided to do the bottomless mimosa special.. we had two servers. One was great. One was not so personable. We started off great, they poured our mimosas and poured our tap water/bottled water. In between we had Long wait times for refills (they’re bottomless mimosas) so when we finally started refilling our own cups from the already premade buckets, David (one of our servers) told us we could not and they can get in trouble. So we respected that! We sat down at 11:30AM, it wasn’t busy. A table next to us sat down 30+ Minutes later, still wasn’t packed or busy. (Keep that in mind). We get our appetizers in a timely manner and they were great. We enjoyed them. But, then it’s 1:30 and we still haven’t received our food. It’s been TWO HOURS while other tables after us are being served food, so we were aggravated. Going back to the table who sat down 30 minutes after us… they received appetizers and food before we ever did. We finally made comments, got the manager involved. Etc. Then, We FINALLY get our food! Every. Single. Plate. Was hard and cold. We complained to the manager and let me tell you, she’s not Pleasant. She tried to justify it by saying we were a tad bit late to our reservation. Even though we called and let them know and they were very nice over the phone about it. But also telling us that it was okay because they sat People every 30 minutes. After the discussion didn’t go so well, We sat back down at our table andddddd waited for her to come to the table… she never did, so we finally got up and walked to the front desk again. We asked to pay for our drinks and what we did enjoy… and they refused to let us pay or tip the server who did help us the best she could while we waited! Even after I asked more than three times to allow us all to pay and tip for what we did eat and drink! They comped the entire 7 person meal, but I left feeling off and uneasy about the entire meal and experience. I asked the manager of the restaurant for her hire up information and she refused to give it to me. So, if anyone knows who that is, please let me...
Read more(Last visited 10/3/2021.) Hanging out in Buffalo for the weekend and you know how we do... we brunch. Lol. So we did our Yelp thing and found that Patina 250 offers bottomless mimosas, so this is where we wound up. Let me tell you how it went!
Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right downtown on Delaware Avenue is this gem. It's on a city block so you'll need to find your own parking, but we found some on the street. The inside is very elegant, fashion-forward, chic and open. I loved the gentle, yet party-like aura of this place. The big windows let in a lot of light and lit up the room.
Service: I can't remember the gentlemen's name that took care of us, but he was excellent. He never let our glass get too low, he was quick, had a funny personality and just was ready to party like we were.
Food: So in order to get the bottomless mimosas you have to go with the Prix Fixe menu. Fine by me! So you get to choose an appetizer, a main course then for your drink you can go with a bottomless bellini, mimosa or Patina-label chardonnay or merlot! So I went with the jumbo lump crab cake for my appetizer and it was delicious. It was a bit different from crab cakes I've had in Baltimore, but it was still good. It was like... fluffier than what I've had and not as hearty. It comes with a pickled vegetable salad. For my entrée I went with the steak & eggs and it was amazing. It was a nice sirloin, cooked just how I asked with 2 sunny-side up eggs and a fluffy hash brown cube. It was the perfect amount of food and I'd love to try some other things on the menu next time!
Value: So this place isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The Prix Fixe menu is $59.00 per person, but you get a good amount of food and all the drinks... you can drink. Lol. Absolutely worth it.
In conclusion, I'm glad we found this place and I would absolutely return! Period. You should check this place out if you're in the area!
