I went with the Young Black Professionals of WNY Meetup group for a happy hour, and we enjoyed ourselves. I had called over earlier to let them know about having a larger group coming that evening, and they were more than accommodating and allowed us to use their back room space. We ultimately stayed at the bar area since it wasn’t packed when we arrived but as it picked up, we had the still had the option to go to the back room. The happy hour specials were solid and it lasted from 7 to 9 PM (this was on a Friday night). I had two of their specialty cocktails (regular $10; $7 for HH) and enjoyed them both. I also ordered the chicken fingers with french fries ($13). They were large in size and tasted good and they offered a lot of flavor options for additional charge if you wanted something other than mild, medium or hot. Their menu is very limited, and mostly just things from the fryer (think chicken wings, pizza logs, fries, Pastelitos, etc.) Overall it was a good vibe especially if there with friends. Eventually there was a DJ so we had some music happening and it wasn’t over bearing in volume so you could still enjoy a nearby conversation. The floors were a little sticky and could use a mopping, but otherwise it was a nice, chill spot.

Tonight was a terrible experience at The Heights. We saw a flyer promoting come watch the Bills game with drink and wing specials. We get there a little earlier than the game and go to order wings bartender tells us they just got a to go order for 100 wings so it will be a little while. We planned to stay for the game so okay no big deal. Go to order drinks we ask what are the drink specials bartender passes us a menu and drinks are regular price so no drink specials. Bottom shelf cocktails high priced smh. I go to use the restroom no tissue or soap in the Ladies room. The DJ is playing music during the game. Then finally we get our wings 2 hours later and they were burnt smh. They did offer to make more wings but after waiting another 30 minutes I said never mind we left at half time of the game. Highly disappointed with my experience today this is not the first time we’ve been there but definitely our last. Oh yeah and I forgot to mention it was freezing...

So I walk in, sit down at the bar with my friend and wait for a while no one comes up the us and the bartenders are drinking, apparently its the owner/bartenders birthday. So finally we wave down a bartender (maybe it was a random lady w curly hair that was sitting on the other side of the bar taking shots), so she comes up to my friend only and doesnt acknowledge me whatsoever i said excuse me and she didnt even make eye contact. I had all intentions on spending my night at the bar and having drinks but I will never be back and I will make sure to let all my friends and family know my experience my first time at THE HEIGHTS. Also we paid $5 to get...
