So this was hard to decide between a 1 or two star and I know with current situation for a lot of employers, good help is hard to find so I’m gonna play nice and give it two stars.
Initially I was going to the pro shop inside to pick up a new ball and test it afterwords but my daughters wanted to come with and bowl so this was somewhat a family outing. While in the pro shop my daughters played in the smaller arcade they have compared to other facilities but none the less clean and maintained. My ball gets done at the pro shop, I take a lane rental for my daughters and I and we begin our game. We did an hour rental, ordered a pitcher of soda shortly after on the screens so we all had drinks. 35 minutes later, no soda no nothing so we proceed to ask for server help, to no availability. A couple with children down from us also order stuff and have been waiting 40-45 minutes. I get it , busy with three birthday parties, other people in and out, completely understand. Now we have less then 10 minutes left on our lane and I ask my daughter to go tell the lady at the counter to cancel our order as it’s now been 45 minutes since we placed the drink order. The lady who was in a red shirt proceeded to snap an attitude at my 16 year old and complaining how she’s doing this that and the third. Like I said before, I get it but a “hey sorry I’m super busy right now but will get your drink right up” would have fixed this all but no apologies, no care, which at that time I already was like whatever. Then while this is all going down and we are finishing up our last frame, a lady in a green shirt comes out the back and someone is recording her, assuming for social media stuff or something and then walks to the back again. Now at this time, I counted all but ten employees in the building that I could see but your telling me it requires a special person to get a pitcher of soda to a table?? When we were done I returned my daughters rental shoes to the counter and the guy working there was like thank you and I explained the concern with the employee who had the attitude towards my daughter and he’s like ok I’ll let management know. Just not a very friendly welcoming environment. Like I said before I get that good help is hard to find but when I’m spending 400 in your pro shop and another 60 on a lane and trying to spend money on food and drinks to pretty much be ignored, I’ll take my business to other locations. The pro shop is amazing and the people in there could probably teach some of the employees a thing or two on customer service. There was a couple employees who I seen busting there butts off for the party’s going on and this is why I won’t do a one star but the rest of the staff covering 5-6 lanes of bowlers and can’t take care of that, may need to think of a different career path outside of...
Read moreTerrible customer service and misleading reservation policy. I have made a reservation and made a payment on their website for 6:00 - 7:00 pm. When we get there at 5:50 pm and said informed about our reservation we were told that we have to wait for an hour. When we ask that there are more than 10 lanes closed and we don't want to wait an hour. That was the reason we made a reservation for the first place. The answer was there was a leak and those were closed. Then I said I want to cancel and want a refund we learned that they have no refund policy. They can only give us a free game ticket to be used for a later visit. First of all I was there on time like it was reserved. Secondly, there are many lanes available but all closed for a supposed water leak. Thirdly, if you are not giving us the lane why do you make reservations for a specific time frame like in ojr example 6:00 to 7:00 pm. We learned the hard way. I suggest DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS and MAKE PAYMENTS unless you are okay with one hour waiting and NO REFUNDS. I lost $66.93 but Start and Strikes lost a good customer forever.
The customer service said the their management team would like to contact me directly to further discuss the issues I brought up and asked my contact information to forward it to their Buford team. I has been like 4 days and no one care to call me. It proves that they can't care less and they better change their Customer Care department to "Customer NooneCares Department". My family and I have been coming to Stars and Strikes for years. This year we started visiting the Buford location because of relocation. I am giving two stars because the restrooms are always clean and the bar tenders are always polite. The food is average but always hot and comes quickly. Every Monday we attend for the bowling special and we always are service by the same staff. Let me just say this— Victor the manager short caucasian guy with glasses attitude is unfriendly and he is very Sarcastic. You could honestly tell he does not care about customers or delivery excel service. He is extremely lazy and you could tell this because when asked a question is acts as if someone is bothering him by allowing to do his job. There is a black young guy with purple hair that is always present on Monday who barely speaks. I am not certain if he’s shy or what the issue is but he is not social, does not smile, and barely speak. The waitress Kayla is hard to read but I observe she is always overworked with NO help. She tries to be polite but folds under pressure. My concern is more the management. Victor is awful! If Stars and Strikes gets rid of him it will be a greatly ran establishment. Please give him a corrective action because I know am I not the only person who observes this behavior. Do not allow this location to continue to be tainted by poor management...
