I come to this restaurant at least twice a month. I have a small 3 pound dog. She is very friendly. I usually take her inside the restaurant with me she has a bag that zips up. She is a service animal she plays with young children and cuddles with elderly she brings happiness to people. There was a beautiful large pitbull (im sure was very friendly) with its owners. Instead of discriminating and showing fear for my small dog, I chose to sit inside, like I usually do. The young man that greeted me grabbed the menu and said OK I will seat you outside. I asked him if I could sit inside and he explained that I have a small animal I could not. I explained to him That It was a service dog then he walked to the front counter to the ACTING MANAGER (her words) tells me I cannot come in to the place because the owner does not allow it. I told her it was a service dog I could provide proof she rolled her eyes and said OK so show me then. I was surprised. that type of demand from her Was very unfriendly and very disturbing to me so I asked her does she know the law that we are not required to show proof of a service animal? She did not know anything she just said the owner doesn’t want animals in his restaurant.! I asked her to be specific of what she needs just to see if she knew what she was talking about. And again she told me it doesn’t matter. You cannot dine in here with your dog.! I asked her to speak to a manager, and she laughed and said I am the manager. I asked her for her name, and she would not give it to me. I asked her for the owners name and she did not provide that, but She gave me a card and said that I can speak to the owner and said before you start causing problems here speak to him and he will tell you himself. I again asked for her name, and she laughed and walked away. I found out her name was IZZY (the acting manager) it’s a setback for the owners that work so hard to run a successful restaurant in Burbank where many love their pets and often take them wherever they go . Meanwhile, you have employees like her that make it...
Read moreI've gone to this place a couple of times over a few years, and each time I'm hesitant about visiting but thought to give it another shot, hoping that the grievances I've had before were just because of a bad day.
This was a birthday brunch for my husband and we just wanted to enjoy our time and good food, but we kept getting annoyed by so many things. The food is okay, but it's definitely not worth the price they ask for everything. A Salmon Eggs Benedict was over $20 and the way the sandwich was constructed made it so hard to enjoy it. The onion was in massive inconsistent pieces that kept falling off the sandwich, and I had to keep picking them off the table (we ate outside so the table was dusty enough that I didn't want to eat anything that fell on it). My friend also got the same sandwich and her egg was overcooked. We ordered strawberry mimosas and half the glasses they brought us were very clearly dirty and the pieces of strawberry on the edges of the glass were not very fresh, they could've just omitted the garnish. We wanted to eat outside because the past few times I went there we were inside, and it is so loud and echoey inside that I hoped the outside would be better, but it's next to a big street and we had multiple ambulances going by for our 1h brunch that was so loud we had to pause all conversation and muffle our ears. Our server was very sweet and she brought us some free desert for the birthday, but it did take a while for her to come around to our table so we kept waiting around to order food. We spent over $230 for 4 people but I can get much better/cheaper food and a cleaner/quieter atmosphere in so many places in Downton Burbank that are much more worth it. This was the last time I'm going to this place because I'm now pretty sure it wasn't a bad day blunder but the place is just...

I want to commend Mike Mangum, the manager of the Another Broken Egg, resturant in Burbank, Ca. Our 2025 reunion culminated with a family Sunday brunch at Another Broken Egg. We arrived around 12:30 pm. The resturant was busy, causing us to wait quite a while. After my cousins inquiries were met with a “5 more minutes” response several times, from the host, I took it upon myself to speak with someone else inside. We had been waiting about 45 minutes so, we were becoming HANGRY! I saw this guy with baseball cap on and a towel in his hand. I told him, “if it would get us seated faster, I would help the staff prepare tables for my family”. Mike quickly, introduced himself, offering his apologies while assuring me we would all be seated momentarily . Mike, offered me a mimosa for the delayed seating . Moments later our party was seated with drink orders taken. The server had her hands full taking orders for our party. But within seconds, Mike came to not only take orders but he assisted with serving as well. I learned later, that Sunday was Mikes birthday. His staff was trying to give him a quick celebration during the time our family had been seated. However, he put his customers first, coming out to provide reinforcements. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent!!! I appreciate Mikes professionalism and compassion. The 2025 Simpson Family Reunion would like to thank Mike Mangum and his staff, for assisting in bringing our celebration to a deliciously perfect conclusion. In the age of AI, technology and robotics replacing people in the job market, there is NOTHING like a persons smile and kindness. Mike Mangum you deserve kudos...
