Look. Generally when I have a bad experience I refrain from leaving negative reviews to give folks the benefit of the doubt. I understand the restaurant business is tough and it’s hard to recover from a cursory glance of poor reviews. But my experience here was so egregious I had to leave my first Google review ever.

I have NEVER met a more incompetent group of host/ess/cashiers/servers in my life. It was taking an interminable amount of time to help the one customer ahead of us and we soon found out why. The folks had trouble explaining what the difference between side dishes and add on dishes was. They prodded us towards the add on dishes that were extra by presenting them as choices together. When we realized what the distinction was we corrected our orders, but for some reason rather than deleting the items they cancelled our order and restarted. +5 min. Maybe this was an archaic software they were using but what happens next leads me to believe this was human error.

After corrections, The total came out to $30 for two sandwiches. Somehow when we corrected him in pointing out we didn’t order two grilled cheeses, just one, the cost went up. Math. +5 min

The cashier kept asking for us to “pay now” and asking for our card and we kept repeating that he had already taken our card and gestured to him HOLDING OUR CARD. +2 min

In between this there was a lot of idle time of the people looking at the cash register and then looking at each other and then looking at us as if we could do anything. +5 min

Also, by the time our food came out they had made a mistake by giving us chips instead of the side salads we had ordered. At this point we were too annoyed to complain and send it back and just left. I am all for raising the minimum wage to $15/hr. I understand it’s hard to make a living in this industry. But when they seemed annoyed at us on behalf of their own ineptitude I seriously reconsidered my position and can start to understand why others are...

Cool little trendy spot on Olive. Definitely not too hard to find. The reviews drew us to this place for lunch as we were passing thru Burbank. It’s got pretty big signage in the front, the only issue is gonna parking. It’s street parking. Haven’t really found parking anywhere (like structure and such).

Walking in, it’s not too loud, got some cool art wall deco, place is clean. It’s a bit smaller than what it looked like from outside... but there’s a bunch of tables for people to sit, real simple and contemporary. No music, just the echo of the voices of people working.

When it comes to food, I believe that the reviews are accurate. 1. It is made fresh. The gf and I ended up with the French dip and the midnight snack. Both breads were soft and with good consistency. The flavor was definitely there. 2. Portions were definitely a big smaller for what the price is. 3. Side of chips or salad. The drinks at the fountain are actually Jones crafted beverages with real sugar cane, no big brand drinks. Their tea selection are decent and flavorful, and choices of pink lemonade or regular lemonade.

Overall, I would give this place a solid 4/5 stars. This is a good place for lunch. Is a bit steep on the wallet but quality is there. Service could be a bit more personal and organized but overall decent enough. I would definitely come back... however we did get lucky cuz we beat lunch traffic, but we also sat thru a POS system crisis as their system went down. They still got us accommodated so I’ve had a good experience and...

So I came here for the first time on a Tuesday around 2pm. I was craving a sandwich and this place seemed Iike it would have some good sandwiches based on some photos i saw on google so I decided to stop by. I ordered a ham and swiss sandwich which came with lettuce, tomato, red onion and mayo on a Sourdough bread. The sandwich was delicious! The ham was carved from an actual baked ham! It tasted so good. I was really happy with my meal. It also came with a side salad which was also very good. What I wasn't fond of was the girl at the register. She was not the most welcoming person and was in a rush to get my order when there was only one other customer in the restaurant! I can see why it's empty! I give her 1 star. And 5 stars for the food. Compliments to the cook. You are doing an amazing job 👏 . In average I'll give this place 4 stars. Might need to get a...

Tried this place for the first time, so naturally I went with their signature and most popular sandwich, The Bentley. It has filet mignon chunks in it with caramelized onions and a flavorful sauce and some greens. Very juicy. I really liked it. The aide salad also had a good tasting dressing. Not sure the ciabatta is the right bread bec the chunks kept sliding out. Maybe the chunks should be bigger. Their teas are great but the Jones sodas are meh at best. The sugar free cola tasted like soap. I don’t care about that though. Food is the main thing and it’s fantastic. I wana come back and tried their salads now. The staff was very friendly and energetic. The lady behind the counter answered all my questions enthusiastically and also brought water for my dog.

Delicious food. Quite the variety to choose from. The ambience is great and so is the staff. Zachary was very knowledgeable of the menu and was extremely nice! The Crabcake Salad was delicious and I loved the mixed greens they chose! Excellent portions to prices and this is not your normal sandwich shop. Very eccentric and eclectic. Definitely worth a try while you are in Burbank!
