First and foremost the customer service of this establishment is impeccable! I mean the epitome of outstanding service. The regional manager Alex reached out to me personally and apologized for my last experience and rectified the situation. He went above and beyond to make sure that my experience didn't leave a bad taste for the entire chain and I truly did appreciate the gesture.
Appetizer: El Gaucho Salad (fresh organic spring greens, queso fresco, grape tomatoes, jicama, red bell peppers, sliced red onion, fresh avocado, spiced tortilla croutons and pepitas tossed with chimichurri vinaigrette) SOOO tasty I am a big fan of anything with jicama and avocado paired together. This salad was not only refreshingly light but it was incredibly tasty. Great way to start off the meal without getting too full.
Main: Ahi Filet (pan-seared ahi tuna crusted with black & white sesame seeds on a bed of soba noodle stir-fry with a side of wasabi aioli) The ahi was perfectly cooked, meaty on the outside and velvety in the middle. I really enjoyed the soba noddles which added great texture to the entire dish. This is certainly a behemoth meal and was worthy of leftovers.
Dessert: Lemon Drop Cheesecake (with a crumb topping, an extra creamy tart lemon filling and a side of fresh raspberry coulis) Although I am trying to minimize my diary intake, this was certainly worthy of the cheating! When I tell you this was one of my most favorite desserts of all times, PLEASE believe me.....I love lemon anything and the combination of the tarty lemon and the sweet raspberries ignited a flavor fuse that really got me going. It was pure beauty!
Overall I REALLY enjoyed my dinner and of course I couldn't leave without getting a pitcher of their super yummy sangria. Seriously its possibly the best sangria I've tasted and its super inexpensive. I would certainly recommend this location. Our waiter was prompt, amusing, knowledgeable and accommodating...basically everything your looking for in a waiter. Its loads of free parking, service was impeccable, and the food was...
Read moreI went there for an early dinner on Saturday and I was seated at the bar with my husband and his friend, everything was fine, the food was stellar but the bartender with dark brown hair who was working that evening was rude and kept only talking to my husband, when I ordered- she didn’t hear what I said apparently and when I said I wanted sweet potato fries she said “oh, Is that what you said?” And was extremely condescending, And then continued to focus on my husband. She tried her hardest to only talk to my husband and when he stopped responding to her because he could see I was visibly uncomfortable & she didn’t stop trying to talk to him, looking at him, and trying her hardest to ignore me. She then proceeded to basically everything normal people do but much louder, the cups she was rinsing were making the loudest possible noises, when she would bring anything it was basically slammed down. I have no idea why I was treated with such hostility but it was obviously apparent to the other staff because very nice staff members came to serve us most of the rest of our meal. I am writing this review after days of thinking about this event and am just completely repulsed by the way this woman was treating me and trying to talk to my HUSBAND. I tipped even though I felt like I was treated with disrespect because I felt like maybe I was possibly blowing it out of proportion but both my husband his friend agreed that I was being disrespected so I felt the need to write this review. The foods great but that staff member is the reason we will...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I came here after a long day of traveling. We visited in the middle of the rain storm that pummeled SoCal. They were still open, smiling and making great food. The menu was small but appeared packed with flavor. The server informed us that EVERYTHING was made in house at time of order and as such, it was best practice to order as it was shown on the menu. We ordered drinks, I had a Stout Beer and a Lemonade Cocktail which were both delicious. My GF had a strawberry lemonade. The drinks came quickly and the server checked in on us after a few minutes to make sure everything was to our liking. In terms of food, I ordered the Grilled Cheese strip with Tomato Bisque dip as a starter and she ordered a Mediterranean style salad. The dippers were a little over priced for what it was, however it was still delicious. For our main courses I got the Mac and Cheese with Chicken and she ordered a Turkey Club which came with house made chips (Pictured). Both of these were amazing and worth every penny. The food came quick and hot. The Mac was rich and creamy. The club was fresh and crunchy, but not so much that it hurts the roof of your mouth like a lot of places do with their toast. The chips were awesome. Again the waiter came by to check multiple times to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
Out side of the food, the ambiance is great, the entire restaurant is lovely to look at. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and every staff member we had an interaction with was nothing but great. Awesome place,...
