Came here 15 years ago and wasn’t sure I wanted to come back, but my family insisted on trying them because they haven’t. I wish they would listen to me. Jeez. Granadas is extremely dated, drab and not so clean looking. Service was ok. The busers are actually better than the server. I’m very bewildered by the reviews. I’m truly starting to believe that there is a lot of people in this world that just don’t know what good food is because they haven’t had it. No fault of anyone’s but I’m truly not sure how this business has stayed in business as long as it has. Loyal local Burbank patrons I’m sure is what keeps a float. When we went into the restaurant there wasn’t anyone to greet us. We waited along with a different party of guests for about 5 minutes before someone greeted us. The person who greeted us didn’t even know where to seat us then states “we’ll sit where you want”. We sit down and we’re giving a small bowl of salsa and refried beans. The beans were amazing! The refried beans were the star out of all the food we ordered. Why do you say the refried beans were the star? Well, they were to a T authentic. Beans and lard. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce with heat. Mix the salsa with the beans and you have a great duo. Then you must deal with children who run a muck and no one says anything and parents do nothing. Trust…I have children, but I would never allow them to jump from table to table and run around the restaurant. That is so disrespectful of other guest! My brother ordered a burrito. He said it was dry, but he couldn’t stop eating the beans…. Addictive! My mother and I we shared shrimp and steak fajitas. The shrimp were so over cooked they bounced off the table, not to mention very bland. The steak was extremely thin and somewhat burned not too much flavor at all. The rice had no flavor whatsoever. Pico de gallo was good. Not hard to mess that up anyway. Those beans though wow! Needless to say, I was definitely not impressed. There are a few other Mexican restaurants in Burbank however, I’m not sure if I would pick this one as being the best. Not to mention the prices are a little over the top. Lots of food but not worth the price. Trust me I have no problem paying high dollar for great food, but this just isn’t unfortunately. They do have a lunch specials. So, I would go then if you did want to try. This is not the worst place I have had but it’s definitely not the best as it says. I gave it three stars because of everything that I wrote in the review. You wanna try it? Then the beans are the tix! Seriously though I’m not a fan of this restaurant.

You get what you expect, so don’t expect amazing. LoL it’s whatever Mexican style food. So don’t give them horrible reviews, you should know this before you eat here lol The enchiladas were ok, beans and rice were normal. -it was Tuesday and for some strange cool reason they had buy one get one combo free. Winning! I ordered one chicken enchilada, it was good enough to eat, I took the other entree home. My boyfriend loves the seafood burrito with white sauce, unless I cooked him the real version lol at home. Crowd is mostly non Mexican lol. They have a full bar which is great and the drinks aren’t weenie. I wouldn’t necessarily wanna come back here again unless someone really wanted too. It’s more of a Burbank locals spot I guess

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!

DON'T GO THERE! ZERO STARS!

LOOK OUT FOR ENRIQUE!

I took my mom there recently for her birthday. we received bad food, bad service, and could not get a receipt from the waiter "Enrique". I suspect the waiter "Enrique" stole/is stealing the money. I paid in cash and he brought me back my change without a receipt showing what I had paid.

When we arrived & were seated, we waited & were ignored for a long time. Finally, after almost 15 minutes, the waiter Enrique finally showed up, but he seemed very put off, & was extremely rude to us, like we were bothering him.

He was also slow & inattentive. He never once came back to check on us or ask if we needed anything, or refill my drink even once. We had to eventually ask the bus boy to bring/refill our drinks and give us chips and salsa. The food also tasted VERY old, very bland and had no flavor. Mine was also cold when I got it. I couldn't even eat or finish it.

When I asked the waiter Enrique why he had charged me for the birthday dessert, he yelled at me and made a scene in front of everyone. He openly refused to give us the birthday dessert, which is supposed to be free, because we had ordered the Tuesday "buy one get one free" entree special. If this restaurant is going to advertise these specials to draw people in, they can't then just change their own rules & refuse to honor them.

I didn't want to argue or make a scene/fuss since we were supposed to be celebrating my Mom's birthday. When it was time to pay, the waiters were hovering around our table & our waiter Enrique was leering at us with dirty looks. Being as he had overcharged me, I didn't want to leave a tip but I was afraid he would yell at me or chase me outside since he was already acting so hostile.

Also, there did not appear to be anyone one to talk to about this. I didn't see a manager present at this location. Given the numerous other negative reviews describing similar experiences, it appears the waiters are engaging in unethical business practices And stealing money. I am pretty sure, being as he refused to give me the revised receipt, that our waiter Enrique took the charge off for the birthday dessert, but then just kept the money. I have worked in several restaurants myself, & have seen this behavior/racket before. Another reviewer had to call the police on these crooks. Read the other reviews to see all the other problems with these waiters & this horrible restaurant.

All told, they succeeded in ruining what was supposed to be a happy celebratory day for me & my Mom. I'm NEVER coming back here, & will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience, & to avoid this place like the plague as well.

Bottom line- BAD FOOD! BAD SERVICE! CRIMINAL WAITERS! THIS PLACE

IS A RIPOFF! DON'T EAT HERE!

THESE WAITERS ARE THIEVES!...

The service is horrible! The food is good, not as good as it used to be, bit good. I decided to call in and order food on my way home from work. The call was answered and I was put on hold immediately. After waiting in hold for almost 6 minutes I had arrived at the restaurant. I stayed on hold as I walked in as I had a feeling something wasn't right. My feeling was accurate. There was no one waiting to be seated and the man who is always in the front had his back turned to the door and was texting on his cell phone while I was still on hold. I asked him, you know you have someone on hold right?...his reply...no. My reply...you sure do because I'm the person that's been on hold for 6 minutes.Hid reply...oh! He asked if he could help me and I simply told him it was a shame that this happened because I like the food but will never set foot in there again. I will tell Evey last person I know to go to salsas and beers for better food, better service and better prices. What a shame...he must be the owner, otherwise he should have been fired a while ago. Every encounter I have ever had with this same man has been...
