Disappointed, Twice.
Gave this place two tries--late morning once, early morning the second time. Both visits? Popular Horchata Signature drinks sold out. Are they real or just mythical menu creatures?
First round, settled for the Abuelita's Latte (chocolate milk with identity issues) and the Angelino Cold Brew (weaker than my willpower at 5 am). Maybe they were just having a busy morning.
Second round, I went in early hoping for a better experience. Nope. Once again, all the popular signature iced drinks were unavailable. Got the Dulce de Leche latte (pure syrup) and their Leo Macadamia Cold Brew. As a Leo, I expected bold. I got boring. No chocolate zodiac art either! Also picked up a plain croissant that was crunchier than my last breakup. Costco is nearby. Just saying.
Customer service? Cold, rushed, and not helpful. Zero effort in suggesting alternate items that may have a decent caffeine kick. Just blank stares and bad vibes.
Honestly, the people keeping this place in business must not know what real coffee is. I wanted to support local, but you've got to have the goods and the beans. Right now, San Fernando Coffee has neither.
If you're going to run out of everything, at least make the coffee left on your menu worth settling for. Spoiler: it's not.

Read moreThe coffee here is actually pretty yummy! The horchata cold foam is my personal fave. I’ve been here more than a few times since they opened since I love coffee and it’s so close. The drinks always range from pretty okay to pretty good - never bad though, in taste at least.
The service is what gets me though. There have been a few hiccups here and there, but they’re usually busy. However, while we went in this morning and put in our orders as usual, I guess one of the baristas was having a bad day? Because she made sure we knew she was by slamming our drinks down on the bar when our name was called to grab them - enough for one of the lids to pop off, spraying it and some of my aforementioned horchata cold foam onto the bar, before she grabbed it and slammed it back onto my cup and turned away from us. I hope she has a better day but geez - it would have been nice to at least have gotten a new lid or idk, not have our drinks slammed down right in...
Read moreI’ve been working in Burbank for several years, and I’ve tried many of the coffee shops in the area, but none of them have earned my repeat business. But finally there is a coffee shop that makes great drinks, has accessible parking, lots of space, and makes me want to go again every day! I’ve been twice now and had a pleasant experience both times. The staff is nice and the drinks are great. Plus I love that it’s not claustrophobic inside. Overall I recommend them, try them out...
