McDonald's — Restaurant in Burien

I went to this location & ordered 4 plain beef patties & large water no ice.

I drove to the first window, & the cashier said $10.97; I paid, but I was confused because my receipt said 4 Sausages not patties.

I drove to the second window. I asked the young lady with red hair how much a single beef patty was, she said $2.49. I then asked why it was rung up as a sausage, & she asked me what else do I want (i don’t think she heard me) so she assured me the patties were in the bag , then called one of her teammates or superior to answer my question. A man wearing a dark blue shirt with glasses came to the window. He was frustrated, but explained to me they did not have a “key” to charge me for individual patties, so they had to ring up sausages & if I were to order a burger it would be more to add the patty. I was still confused. He then gave me my water, it had ice in it so I gave it back & asked for no ice. He got more frustrated and told me to pull to the front & he will bring my water out. I said, no i’ll just wait here. He got more frustrated & asked me to pull around, I rolled my window up & said no i’ll just wait here it’s only water. He explained that he had more orders with drinks being filled. I said I will just wait here. He told me if I come back he will not serve me. He said that about 3 times then gave me my water. I said you’re only saying that because you’re upset that I was questioning the price.

I went back through the drive-thru, requested and recieved a refund.

I went to the Mcdonald’s on Barton & paid $3.53 for 4 patties.

That was my experience, & I will be going back if I want Mcdonald's.

Sooo, the app doesn’t work well with this store. I have placed orders here the last few times, wait in the drive thru line only for them to tell me they don’t have my order. I like using the app because I can pay on there and won’t have any transactions, Hand to hand, other than my food. Also watch your coupons from the app too. They might not actually be coupons. For example, one coupon is buy a 10pc McNugget and get one for .75 cents. Well the 10 piece is $5.09. The 20 piece is $5.79. So if you use this coupon they have, your actually paying them .05 cents to use the coupon. Absolutely more than a rip off. I have called both corporate and the store to tell them about this but nothing has been done. I called about it 2 months ago.

I do have to say that the staff is really friendly and courteous but the store is not very well run and ownership really only seems to care about the money. Which is sad because the staff cares. Just ownership does not. Seems like staff might try and work with ownership and make it right but ownership just really doesn’t care. They should be careful to not lose those good employees...

The food was out fast, hot, and good. Exactly what I expect. The restaurant itself was clean, exactly what I expect. Where I was disappointed was in being forced by an employee to order our meal ourselves at a kiosk rather than face to face with said employee at the counter like I have on all other visits to any McDonald's. It took longer to do so myself than ordering it like normal would have and I'm a customer, not an employee. I realize that this is likely a consequence of the $15 minimum wage law going into effect and a way for McDonald's to manage costs and keep prices low. But I prefer face to face ordering and probably always will. The final detail that really annoyed/infuriated me was when it came time to change my baby's diaper and I discovered that there wasn't a changing table in the women's restroom at all. I most definitely expect a baby changing station in all McDonald's as that's what I have seen in all the ones I've visited up to this point. This lack of an amenity forced me to change his diaper on the floor, which understandably is not preferable.
