Gina's Pizza – The Best in Town! I had doubts about finding great pizza in Texas, but Gina's Pizza in Burleson completely won me over! The thin, crisp crust is perfect—just how it should be. I was born on the border of France and Italy, where pizza is a staple, and my mom made it from scratch, so I have high standards. Gina's delivers in every way! Beyond the amazing pizza, the experience is top-notch. The restaurant is conveniently located, making it an easy stop for grabbing takeout or dining. The service is quick, and the wait is never too long, even when they're busy. Plus, parking is easy, which is always a bonus! The staff is incredibly friendly—Laly helped us and was charming and helpful. And let me tell you about Otto, the owner. He's a great guy that you should get to know. Not only does he run Gina's, but he also owns Our Place, which has some of the best brunch options around. If you love good food, you'll want to check out both spots! The prices at Gina's are reasonable, and the quality is outstanding. I highly recommend the BBQ pizza—it's my absolute favorite! Please remember to give a tip; the team works very hard and they really deserve it. If you want real, tasty pizza and a friendly place to eat, you should...
Read moreI’m having a hard time understanding the logic of the mandatory tip feature when I place an online pickup order on the website. I am entering all the information on my order myself, then driving my vehicle to pick it up. Then someone at the counter hands it to me. In order not to tip when placing an order, i would have to select “other amount” and enter $0.00 which I rarely do because I want working people to be paid fairly for their work. I wonder if the people working at the counter are being paid as wait staff and getting less than minimum wage. It is the management of the business’s responsibility to ensure they are compensating their staff for simply doing the basics of their job not expecting their customers to fill the gap for basic service. I know we’re all acclimated to the tip system with wait staff and I get that to a point but tipping culture is getting more and more out of control and we need to at least take a step back. I’d rather pay a little more for my food than constantly be wondering if the workers are being taken advantage of and if I am contributing if I don’t tip when simply ordering food.
The last few pizzas I picked up here were pretty undercooked and the crust was mushy. I haven’t had that issue...
Read moreBurleson is my hometown. I’ve lived here most of my life. And in a town full of chain restaurants, I love finding a new family owned place that we can add to our regular list! (It’s even more special when one from my childhood is saved!) Both times I’ve visited the pizza was delicious. I wouldn’t call the crust “thin” and I normally like a good thin pizza so that wouldn’t be a bad thing to me. This crust is substantial but in no way soggy - there’s a little crisp to it because the bottom was cooked just the way I like it. Like the perfect mix of what I like about thin and thicker crusts. I’m a vegetarian and love green olives, I am so thankful they have them, because some pizza places only have black olives now. And there was the perfect amount on my pizza! Service is always friendly and when my family of 8 came on a Friday night, it was packed but they got us in quicker than I expected, keeping us informed the entire time. To top it off, the decor feels reminiscent of my younger days when the pizza place was a good place to hang out with friends and family. Not to mention, bathroom was spotless...
