Art Barn Studio — Attraction in Burleson

Pretty little pottery painting studio... Nothing different from the average place. Went for a birthday party. The staff was mediocre... Friendly but not interactive. They gave me mildly irritated looks when I requested extra paint ...however they didn't give the girls enough to begin with. One small dollop doesn't give them the three coats they were instructed to put on their animal. They accommodated cake and facilitated gift opening. They didn't provide any decorations or paper products like plates or napkins. It's tucked away in a business office with not much parking available and all of it on the street. The first time I went in it was fun and a nice place to do something like pottery for a decent price. They’re only open on certain days from 12-6 most of the time. It’s not a very convenient time to pick up your pieces especially if you’re working full time. I went there on Monday afternoon at 12 and they were still closed even though it says they’re open. I went there again on Thursday at 4:15pm and they were also closed. There were other people waiting outside the door to come pick up their pottery as well. They only give you a month to come pick up your pottery that you paid for before they dispose of it but how can I pick up my stuff when they’re not open during there business hours? I went with family members on December 23rd, and we created some fused glass pieces. I was told they would be ready to pick up in two weeks, three weeks at the latest. I called three weeks later. I was told the pieces were not ready and it would be two more weeks. I called two weeks later. Pieces were still not ready. I called about a dozen times and was consistently told that they would be put in the kiln the next day. The pieces were not ready until April 5th - 3 1/2 MONTHS later! And, to top it off, they broke one of the pieces.

That being said, it was a neat studio, and the employees were friendly. Had it actually only taken 2 or 3 weeks, I would have...
