I have given this place several tries and yesterday was my final go around. Let me start off by saying, I tried to eat here the day before and left after over hearing the table next to me say that they had not received their order and it had been over an hour... I didn’t have time to wait so I left. The next day I wanted a steak dinner, so I thought I would try again. I arrived around 6:45pm. The staff seemed to be handling the crowd ok and I was very hopeful about my meal. Then it arrived.... the potato was not an oven baked potato, instead it was a microwaved potato that was served barely warm, the cheese wasn’t even melted. Also, the server informed me that they didn’t have any butter for my potato. No salt or pepper was offered. The steak was mediocre at best. I ate what I could and was disappointed by the rest. I asked the server about the potato and he informed me that they had a 20 ticket order and this was their best. Referring to the manager, I asked about deducting the cost of the potato off my meal since it was inedible, $1.50 is what was taken off my meal. Bottom line, go for the music & drinks, don’t expect great service and eat somewhere...
Read moreFirst red flag was that she asked to hold my card, for family brunch (no alcohol).
It wasn’t a request, but was forced. I found out why soon after, if they hadn’t of held my card I might have considered just walking out.
None of the food was cooked save for the chicken fried steak, and no precautionary statement about “the plate being hot”, because it wasn’t. It was ice cold, along with the “sides” that we ordered. Needless to say, we were extremely let down by everything. My son who ordered a grilled cheese couldn’t finish a bite, and when I tried it I would say the same as it tasted spoiled. (Who can’t get a grilled cheese right?)
Potatoes and Mac were cold and had no flavor, no seasoning whatsoever. The broccoli was cold, not fully cooked. This was a horrible learning experience and the price was ridiculous for what was being offered.
Don’t mind a single review here, people post positive reviews to bring this place up because there’s a lot of casual alcoholics who frequent this place. The food is horrible, plain and simple.
Go for the boos, not the...
Read moreMy wife and I tried Lone Star Bar and Grill in Burleson tonight. We were very impressed with our food and with the service. Our waitress was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We ordered the beer battered onion rings, the Captain Crunch crusted chicken tenders and the Philly Cheese Steak Nachos. All of those were excellent, and brought out pretty quickly.
Sammie, the executive chef, came out and offered us the Pigskin Palooza on the house. I have no idea why they were on the house, but I am so glad they were offered up. Man, they were excellent. A bit later, Sammie came back out to ask how everything was. As we were talking, he was telling us about some other items and then brought us some Garlic Parmesan Fries, again on the house. Again, really good.
We were absolutely stuffed, and told Sammie we really enjoyed everything. Sammie told us about, and then took us outside to show us, their outside dining area where they have karaoke nights and live music. We will definitely be back. Sammie definitely made an effort and made...
