Kum Fong — Restaurant in Burlington Township

I have been coming to this Chinese food restaurant for the last five years and I have always thoroughly enjoyed their food. Sadly, over the last six months, I have noticed a decline in the quality of their food for example, The homestyle chicken, a.k.a. general Tso’s chicken, is now covered in a thick cornstarch and rice breading with minimal chicken in the center. The chicken now seems to be more of a piece of popcorn chicken mixed with general Tso’s sauce. I am not sure of the recipe change or if this is a cost-cutting measure, but with their prices already being the highest in the area I feel The quality of their food does not reflect current pricing. I will try them again and most likely ordered a non-breaded item but again I will be looking for alternate Chinese food restaurants to try in case the quality...

I ordered for delivery so I didn’t get to dine in, but WOW. I decided on a whim to try this place instead of the one I usually order from and I was blown away. I have not had Chinese food this good before. The white rice was fluffy, the beef and broccoli was tender not chewy, and the sweet and sour chicken was super flavorful and not tough or soggy! The eggroll with pork and shrimp was amazing too. Honestly the egg roll, chicken lo mein and sweet and sour chicken were probably the best I’ve ever had and I recommend those. I might sound like a walking advertisement or a bot but the reviews are true. This place is a hidden gem and I’ll have to have it again soon! Only negative I found was it is a bit expensive but I rather have expensive high quality instead of cheap and low quality...

Unsuspecting gem. Ordered here on my way through to Burlington resigning myself to accept mediocre Chinese takeout. I got home and reached in the bag to find FRESH CRISPY NOODLES!! I laughed at myself for being that excited over it, but you never see this anymore. I loath the baggies of dry crackers most places dole out these days.

Once I had gotten over how crispy and tasty these noodles were in the house-made duck sauce (!) I opened my box to find a glorious looking general tso chicken combo with a fluffy pillow of perfect pork fried rice and springy steamed broccoli with the perfect amount of bite to it.
