Sadly, my favorite doughnut that I have enjoyed for about 40 years is no longer available. The creme filled glazed doughnut has been discontinued at this location. The fantastic and empathetic staff shared many people have been disappointed by this and have also said "Well, I guess I will not be coming here again". This delicious signature doughnut has sadly changed over the years from a perfect pillow piped with an abundance of sweet creamy frosting delight to a strange typical doughnut with a hole in the middle, placed upon a machine that scantily injects the cream into the doughnut from the bottom? Why change something that is so perfect and is the namesake of the business? That doughnut WAS the "Krispy CREAM'. I am from NC and for many years was delighted with the consistency of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. When I moved to Seattle, the arrival of Krispy Kreme was such a wonderful slice of home. However, after a couple of years, the quality of the doughnuts started to change. My beloved cream filled doughnut turned into the strange machine filled cream doughnut with a hole and the hot doughnuts have an old fryer grease flavor. Krispy Kreme...do not become like all of the other basic doughnut shops making a variety of cake doughnuts with sprinkles! You are better than that. You specialize in yeast doughnuts. Your buttercream is perfect. Don't change that! When I was a teen, my favorite thing in the world was "The Tart", a creation from the original Krispy Kreme at the Greensboro NC location on Battleground Ave. It was a glazed, chocolate covered doughnut with cream piped high, similar to a cupcake, topped with a cherry! I still dream about it. Your cream filled doughnut is the closest thing to that. Please consider bringing this doughnut in it's original form back...
Read moreMost horrible customer service, bar none! Antoinette was rude from the get go. We had coupons purchased from a fundraising event, and decided to use them that day for our order. Antoinette said she could only ring up 3 (we had 6). So we politely suggested she ring the items up in two separate transactions (several other stores have done this for us in the past). To this, she said no, and that if she did that, she will be holding up her line. We then decided to get back in line in order to purchase the additional orders. Upon getting in line, we discovered that Antoinette had over charged us. We told her this when we got to the window. A professional cashier would apologize for over charging and make it right...not this lady. She basically shoved our next order in our car and said "well this cancels what I did not take off initially. As paying customers, we have never encountered such a despicable example of customer service. We know not to visit Krispy Kreme across from the Holly Hill mall in Burlington,...
Read moreI placed an online order for 7:45 PM for the following day for the new HP donuts as I work with a lot of fans. I came to get the order and I was told they didn’t have them. The female behind the counter also told me it wasn’t their responsibility to check orders for the day, it was the managers. Instead of rectifying the situation, the solution was to give me a refund. She allegedly spoke to a manager in the back (either a bad lie, or the manager is a coward and hid in the back). I didn’t want a refund, I did my part for a large order and gave them MORE than 24 hours notice. Whatever excuse about how their online orders work is irrelevant. I utilized the order ahead option and the store simply couldn’t be bothered to check if they had any orders for the day. They just gave the refund and told me to come back early in the morning if I wanted them. I work nights, that wasn’t an option. Incompetent...
