Cook Out — Restaurant in Burlington

Went to This location on 12/17 @ 12:25am and the cashier Anna that placed our order got our order wrong! I had to park and walk up to the window, while it was crowded of course and told her the situation, she had a very rude attitude and stated it was a 0.04 cent difference (even tho the menu states otherwise) & proceeded to refund me the 0.04 cent! She then took the item back thru the window! So my husband checks his transactions and she had charged us 3 separate times, all different amounts! At this point, we’re upset and just wanted a refund! She refunded our order but rudely stated that I’d have to contact corporate for the 3rd transaction because she didn’t have it in her system!! I asked to speak to a manager on duty and she said they weren’t there, also asked for a shift lead or supervisor in which she just blew me off and continued to hand out food! Now Mind you, when we approached the window, her and another employee from the opposite window were goofing around and playing! I understand that you should enjoy work but when you have a drive thru that is packed, this how things go wrong, such as you charging us for 3 separate transactions! I usually enjoy Cook Out but I will not be returning to this location! Management should really speak with their employees on how they handle customer service! I work in food services as well, as a manager and this is just unacceptable! People are spending their money and shouldn’t be treated any kind of way because the employee becomes...

I'm not sure what's going on at this particular location, but it has happened the past three times and I'm not sure there will be a fourth time. You get a typical greeting when pulling up to drive thru. "Welcome to cookout, how can I help you?" There's nothing wrong with that. It's everything after that, that is the problem. I order a Huge burger cheddar style. The drive thru associate asks me "what 2 sides do I want?" I replied back with "I don't want a tray since the last 2 times, that's what I've gotten. I just want a huge burger, cheddar style with an order of fried cheese bites and a Reece cup shake." She tells "its $10.71" I know that price is wrong because a huge burger cheddar style, cheese bites and a shake will run me about $13. So, once again I'm being charged for a tray with 2 sides and the burger is just a double cheeseburger. It's like, you have what you want to order, but they choose what they want to give you. This is the third time the order has been this way and not what I asked for. Also the times that this has been happening is between midnight and 1:30a.m. I just want my order to be correct. Don't worry about trying to save me money or whatever the reason is for choosing to give me something I didn't ask for. I'm not sure what's happened to this location, but...

I always love getting some good cookout. But remember, this is sanford. This hasn't stopped me from buying their food, however... I do have a story.

I work at a gas station. And we sell alcohol and tobacco products. I have to ID, it is a part of my job. One girl who works here got really upset with me for asking for her ID (when I finally got it, she was 21, att).

Fast forward to one of the times I'm getting off work and ordering cookout. She finds me at the window only to be rude saying "remember me, you asked for my ID." Thankfully, nothing was wrong with the food I got. But this was not a pleasant experience.

It only happened the once ofc, and so I still enjoy my occasional cookout meals. I have no clue if she still works their but if she doesn't... I can see why.

Remember, kids, you don't know why's going on in a customers life, and vice versa. But there are right and wrong things to do.

Now on to my actual review. I love cookout they have many options and any substitutions or adding and subtracting you like to do to your meals will always get done right here. I have never had a bad meal from any cookout I have been too. The food is just good and the prices for this economy are reasonable. So enjoy you some...
