Walked in, no menu board for hot beverages. I questioned options. In a very quiet voice the young male employee gave ideas. We ordered, yet could barely hear the young man taking our order. No worries.
While waiting for 2 cups of hot coffee, we realized there was no station set up for sugar, cream, etc. I questioned the same employee that took our order as he was handing me a cup of ice i had placed originally, and he kindly handed us a cup filled with the number of SUGARS we requested. He was very polite. HE then explained the condiment station had not been replenished since COVID, 2020, from what he had been told. OKAY, WOW, Lol...!!!
Waited 15+ minutes at counter while several others served their orders. Seemed to be ONLINE ORDERS, as individuals walking in picking up. Drive-thru was activity flowing well too.
Attempted to get attention of 6 workers behind the counter...!!! AGAIN WAITING, with ZERO EMPLOYEES making eye contact, whisking past placing other orders in front of us.
I was FINALLY asked by female employee what we were waiting for. I nicely stated: 2 HOT COFFEES. The female employee then asked what kind. I replied back, ' the young man behind you took our order '. She quickly snapped back, "Well he's NEW". Haahaahaa, u'mmmm, lol, okay, i guess i missed that POSTED on his head, DANG...???
The young fellow then told her WHAT we ordered. ((NOTE: I had NOT heard what my husband had ordered so I couldn't truly respond.)) The female employee walked over to make our HOT COFFEES. She brought them to the counter, she was apologetic.
I took our 2 HOT COFFEES to our inside table. My husband and I added the SUGARS handed previously. I then realized I wasn't handed the cream.
I turned around, went back to the counter with the small empty cup to get the attention of now 4 employees behind the counter. Had to speak twice to get the attention of ANYONE. The original female employee looked my way. I raised the empty cup and showed a measurement of half full to indicate need for cream. She asked half & half and I said that was fine.
Now it gets interesting. She gives this duty to a young female employee who had avoided me EVERYTIME. This 2nd female walks over WITHOUT EYE CONTACT, NO VERBAGE, and abruptly places a small cup of cream of the counter.
I said, ' THANK YOU '. SHE turned away without acknowledgement. I repeated again, ' Thank You '. She heard me, continued walking away. Another female who I had not seen prior asked if I needed anything else. My reply was ((SHE)) could have said "You're welcome". I turned and went to our table.
Apparently it must have been FUNNY to those behind the counter as there was laughter. Somehow I don't believe it was too MY BENEFIT.
SO HERE'S THE RUB: 25+ minutes to be handed 2 HOT CUPS of coffee, along with sugar, and cream as inside diners. WE walked in around 11am, & left 25+ minutes later.
Not sure, but I felt the FRICTION was based on poor employee flow, and possibly AGE ATTITUDE. M6 husband felt the same.
Treated poorly in an overall experience...!!!
WON'T GO BACK TO THIS...
Read moreI was just at this Starbucks this morning since I had traveled from Greensboro for an appointment. I had ordered my usual brown sugar oatmilk shaken expresso. I go up to pay through the drive through and a drink was given to me that wasn't mine (not a big deal) so I gave it back. Then the woman handed me a drink and told me it was mine and I said no it wasn't. She told me this was the drink I had ordered and it looked nothing like the drink I always order. It looked more like an iced coffee and not a layered drink. So the drink was remade by the same girl who made the 1st one and again it was like she didn't know how to make the drink. I had even showed the women taking my payment what the drink is suppose to look like and she said, "Well, that is just a picture!" I'm thinking, yes so people can see what the drink looks like. I have ordered this drink so many times before where I live in Greensboro and have gone to different locations in Greensboro and I always get the drink layered. The drink was made a 3rd time and and still looked like an iced coffee and to be honest didn't even taste good. I won't be going back to that Starbucks again. There are pictures of there drinks for a reason or why need...
Read moreIt took over 15 minutes to prepare 1 large coffee! If they moved any slower they would probably be going in reverse. When I walked in, I placed/paid for my order right away. There was ONE other customer seated inside the establishment at the time. There were 4 people working the front end. 1 at the drive through, 1 at the register and 2 that appeared to be filling ice bins, plastic cups and the like. I stood and watched the cashier fill at least 6 orders for individuals that entered AFTER I arrived, 2 of which were orders that had to be redone. When I asked the cashier when I could expect to receive my order he appeared to become agitated. It was at that time that he went and removed the coffee filters from the coffee machine. HE STILL DID NOT PREPARE MY ORDER. Instead, he returned to the mobile pickup area and engaged in chit-chat with the line of customers that had amassed. The 2 other individuals that could have assisted remained absolutely oblivious! AND AFTER ALL THAT MY ORDER FOR A SINGLE LARGE COFFEE WAS INCORRECT. You can't make...
