Burger meat and bun are tasty, but the toppings are just ok. There is lots of choice of toppings, but standard and underwhelming. If I asked for more toppings there would be a messy burger. Maybe that's what I was expecting with what I ordered, but I don't want all the sauces on one level of the burger assembly. I watched many orders being made and all the sauces were put on the bottom bun on at least three orders before mine was made.
The cajun fries were soggy. I am unsure if I can ask for them extra fried. The Cajun seasoning was alright. Nice touch....
5 Guys adds an overflowing amount of extra fries in the bag. Even after everything is put in the bag. This works in theory that they include those fun extra "bag fries" to every order, but it makes a mess over the outside of the burger wrapper, and the burger makes a mess on the inside...
I don't recommend eating a 5 Guys order while driving. It's just too much attention off the road. Just sayin'
All in all, I suggest you go heavy on every topping, but limit it to 4 to 6 toppings, including sauces.
I kind of wish 5 Guys Burgers would include some "fringe" toppings like Russian dressing and tartar sauce - even marinara. Maybe green peppers and cucumber would give a more interesting texture and brightness to their fresh ingredients. Something that might set them further apart from the...
Read moreSo I went a week ago... I ordered a burger, that was it. It took me 23 minutes to get my burger. The place wasn't packed. There was maybe 3 other orders in the entire place. While waiting I listened to the manager on shift complain about his parents and life, and how no one was trained like he was to be able to do everything on line. I got my food with other orders that had fries and milkshakes and all sorts of stuff. I watched my burger wait while the orders before and after mine were finished. I when picking up my food asked why it took 23 minutes. Wasn't rude, wasn't short, just asked "so my food was started 23 minutes ago, why did it take so long?" The shift manager looked me in the face with attitude and said, "my bad" and walked away. I called the next morning because my food was ice cold after a 5 minute drive home and I ended up getting sick. When I called I talked to "Jackie". I called around 10:30 and asked if I could speak to someone about a refund. She told me she was too busy to talk to me and to come in later. I would think a customer with a problem would be important.. But no. Came in at noon and was given my money back and that was it. No question as to why. Just my money and the door. I remember when this store was my favorite treat after work. Unfortunately the customer service is non existent and my...
Read moreI had previously given this 5 guys five stars, but things have gone way down hill since then. The burger quality has gone down a little bit while the price went up. The customer service has gone down hill. It used to seem like people really liked working there and cared about customer service but now going is as a customer I feel like I'm not wanted there and my requests don't matter. However the big issue is that they won't let you pre-order fries. No matter what, even if I specifically ask and say that I don't mind them being 30 seconds old when I get them, they refused to even start cooking them until I paid for the burger. I ended up having to cancel my fries order because my burger was ready for me to pick up and the fries hadn't even started yet. Because of how badly things have changed here, I don't plan to go back again unless they reach out to me with a promise to change their ways and I must get a free order of fries to make up for the ones that I...
