The products are great and inexpensive but, lack of care for their employees is enough for me to never return to the store. Never apply to work here because we will be wrote up for everything especially being the new employee. I got wrote up twice due to a till being short. But, others had touched my till. I wasn't the only employee to touch my till. Yet I get the blame. Sara Guzman wrote me up twice. I never felt welcomed when I first started. It felt like a corporate high school. Where they have groups and people who gossip about one another. I never got trained properly to put away clothes I just got tossed out onto the sales floor. Tory was suppose to train me but didn't seem interested. She seemed annoyed all the time and rude. Thank god noone needed to train me on how to use a register. Also, the security team sucks. They have 2 fat and lazy people standing there until a alarm goes off on shoes or items. Most of the higher position employees sit in the offfice and have people running registers. This job isn't good for first time job seekers. I actually loved the job because I got to talk to all sorts of people. But, Sara had different plans about me working there. Customers always gave me compliments about my good customer service. I actually quit the job thank god. I didn't want to get yet, another fake write up. Thank God I've found better career options. Ross Corporate please get rid of your lazy...
Read moreSo although im giving it a 3, the store in general isnt bad, the items are great and prices are awesome but the one thing that isnt is the amount of attitude i got today by this old white lady at the register and being followed by some employees watching me picking an item and setting it back down, like dam dude! Im here to shop and you got your workers hovering me and visually judging me by my clothes? Back to the old lady at the register, as we approached with an item she gave me the most disgusted look ever and tried rushing us out of the store, didnt even give us a chance to say anything she just wanted us out and right as we were done checking out she hollers out loud "ALRIGHT NEXT CUSTOMER!" like right before we gather our things..i understand fluid motion and trying to get the line going but there was like probably 4 people in the store still shopping and like 1 person at the return/exchange line, i wanna give the benefit of the doubt to her but i she showed signs of appreciation to lets just say "light colored people" than to those of color, if any Ross managment reads this i highly advise you guys to go over customer service with some of your employees please...
Read moreLiving in Seattle, I can honestly say there are many differences between this location and the ones I usually go to.
First, this store is the appropriate size and things are spread out nicely.
Second, I was there on a Saturday. In Seattle, this means that irresponsible shoppers will have scattered shoes all over the aisles, strewn clothes everywhere, and allowed their children to leave the toy section in shambles. Not the case at this store which totally blew my mind. Shoes were on the racks (weird), clothes were organized (no way), and the toys were arranged decently (unbelievable).
Third, the fitting rooms were moving efficiently and the person staffing it was smiling and actually helpful. At other stores, they seem less happy to be there.
The prices are what I would expect. The customer service wasn't stellar but it wasn't bad. Overall, not a bad choice for...
