One of my favorite coffee spots in Burlington. The space is super cool and airy with lots of natural light and old wood floors (there’s even a little pop up shop in an old bank vault - although I loved that even more when it was available as a seating area). It’s a fully accessible space with lots of seating options, free indoor bike parking, a great (and clean) bathroom, decent WiFi and rotating art exhibits. Perfect place to work, have a meeting, take a date or just sit and people watch on Maple Street. The staff are always super friendly and the coffee is excellent (Kestrel roasts their own at their facility in South Burlington). It’s also super close to Perkins Pier if you want to take your drink to go and enjoy the beautiful lake view!

A unique cafe with specialty coffees just a short walk from Lake Champlains Perkins Cove water front. Parking is almost non existent adjacent to the property so we parked in the public lot just a block away across the tracks. They have sidewalk window ordering and inside seating available. A great place to sit and enjoy gourmet brew. They are also dog friendly if the dog is friendly and have treats available for sale. Of course Gus ordered one and he said it was delicious and voted this cafe 5 paws out of 5.

Kestrel has lots of space and seating available to sit down and do some work (free wifi) and/or meet with others! It wasn’t too loud (no crazy music) even though most tables were filled throughout my visit. They also have indoor bike parking which I thought was awesome!!

I stopped by hoping to grab a quick breakfast, since August First was absolutely swarmed and I didn't have much time before work. I tried one of the specials, the "Yellowjacket," a mix of cold brew and lemonade, which had piqued my curiosity. It didn't sound very good, but I checked with the barrista, who gave a glowing recommendation.

It was not very good. Mostly tasted like watery cold brew with a vague hint of lemon. In addition, I was really hoping to grab a quick breakfast sandwich before work, but the barrista told me they were unavailable. When I asked for clarification, he did not elaborate further. And I could see a whole bunch of foil-wrapped items lined up in the hot food case that looked like they could have been premade breakfast sandwiches. Maybe I'm off base here, but I was more than a little miffed at this, and I had to go into work on an empty stomach.

Next time I'll just leave the house early so I can wait in line for...

First Google review here!

Amazing coffee. Been pulling great shots at home with their espresso blend. Like someone else alluded to, it's got some third wave brightness, without the jaw puckering citrus. Really enjoying it.

No option to tip the friendly, helpful, smiling barista made me want to put a couple bucks in his non-existent tip jar!

Oddly, businesses that do not accept tips these days have the best service. We have to admit that it's gone a little too far. Thank you! I feel valued as a customer, and will continue to frequent your shop.

You and Brio can keep showing the hipsters how it's done. Some of us notice, and really...
