We got 4 of the flavors from last week's launch, a fun and eclectic collection that had tons of inclusions - strawberries, chocolate chips, cinnamon crumb, cookie dough, etc. - with various ice cream bases: chocolate, peanut butter, and vanilla. We did a very informal sensory evaluation in our R&D lab, and everyone had fun to say the least. The general consensus was that the fact that Little Gordo is always changing their offerings was the best part as it keeps them exciting and always an adventure. Overall, though, the product is not refined in any way, which makes sense that they are just throwing things together without a lot of iteration in honing balance and theme. The ice cream consistency also is less than ideal, without a smooth consistency and disrupted by the amount of inclusions to the point of having sometimes a spoonful will have very little ice cream bridging between chunks of all the other bits. Some of the offerings were just a bit muddled, and it was tough to really pick up on what was in there as it was such a hodgepodge. Anyway, still fun, which is the whole point, and it was a great experience for us to share and be inspired as to what's happening at this...

Alright, folks, I've been living in Vermont for over five years now, so I know a thing or three. Let me tell you about this ice cream spot that operates out of the back of a laundromat. Yeah, you heard me right. You can enjoy the best damn creamees around while getting a whiff of someone's dirty socks. Only in Vermont, right?

Yeah, that's right, creamees. It's soft serve ice cream, Vermont-style, because apparently, we need our own version of everything up here. And let me tell you, it’s worth it.

Parking? Forget about it. It's like trying to find a spot at a Bruins game. Depending on the time of day, you might as well just park in Canada and hike down.

And don't even think about dining in, because it's takeout only. No umbrellas, no tents. Just you, your creamee, and the raw elements of nature. It's like they want you to suffer a little for your dessert.

Now, if you're planning to swing by around 6 PM or later, bring a chair and a good book because that line starts to get longer than the list of my grievances with society.

Oh, and a heads up for anyone hoping to grab a bite: as of summer 2024, they no longer serve food. Just creamees. So eat beforehand or starve. That's...

Everything that I’ve ordered at Little Gordo has been fantastic and I love that they have easy additional options! Their wizards are great- go for a s’mores! They can put sprinkles and Oreo topping on your fav creemee flavor. They had a roasted strawberry flavor that was wonderful! My favorite has been the Creemee inside of a Ms Weinerz donut- it’s honestly the best ever. All staff are friendly and wearing masks, they remind you to wear masks at their service window, which I appreciate and makes me feel good supporting their establishment. You can’t go wrong. Parking is easy in the city market lot, or on Union or one of the cross streets. You should go! If you don’t want a Creemee, they sling Curly Girl Popsicles...
