Taqueria El Taquito De Oro — Restaurant in Burlington

I normally eat at this food truck on the weekdays around 12:00pm after I up my client from school.... the food is great in there usually friendly..... Today was a different day I had just finished Habitat for Humanity and I was hungry so I decide to go to the food truck I normally get the same thing which is the steak Taco with everything on it and one steak taco with just cilantro and cheese on it.... today I wanted to do something different so I tried the sandwich and I took one of my usual which is a steak taco with everything on it I paid $8 for it my last $8 may I add.... I asked the woman before getting the food what was on it she told me cheese lettuce and tomato I said okay.... I got my food and I drove off after getting to my destination I ate my food I then realized halfway through half of my sandwich there was something wrong.... my throat started itching so I looked at the sandwich and noticed that it had avocado on it I stop eating it immediately I went back to the food truck and I told them that I did not realize this have avocado on it I'm allergic to it.... I had half of a sandwich and half of a half of a sandwich left...you can look at my medical records it's state I'm allergic avocado so I would never have gotten the sandwich if I knew that it had it on there... However I asked the lady please may i get another sandwich without avocado or my money back they told me no because I bit half of half of a sandwich....I told him okay but I did not realize it had avocado on it and I'm allergic to it I said even if you give me half of a sandwich I just want to eat ... I have not ate anything I can't eat the sandwich she told me no there's nothing she can do about it I said so you're trying to tell me that because I ate half of a half of a sandwich you guys cannot remake my sandwich or give me my money back.... when you get the sandwich the avocado is not all over the sandwich is on part of the sandwich... They told me no and i got nothing i will post on Instagram better business Bureau and whatever else i can.... I can't believe that they would not make me a sandwich or give me my money back especially when i buy all the time...shame on these people... I will definitely report them and continue to post about them until i get my money back... I no longer want the food i wouldn't even trust them to make...

The tacos are okay. But I've had better for cheaper. I only go here cause it's right by my job on my break sometimes. As I've seen on many other posts, yes the lady has a very rude demeanor! It's weird. If your American and know Spanish we'll don't waste your time speaking, she will literally "ahh" you as if your saying it wrong. I Definitely have no problem ordering tacos in Spanish. I been speaking Spanish for many years. The churro Tres lechs was so nasty after 3 bites I threw it out. On the outside it looks great and delicious but when you open it up. It was very dry and I can tell it probably was made about 5 days before lol. I can say this lady charges Americans more. For sure. I get the same thing all the time but one day I added the churro cheesecake and that's 7 dollars alone. So why did my total come to the same price as my previous meals without the cake??? Not returning anymore and dealing with her unpleasant attitude. She acts like you stole her...

Edit 9/2025: The taco price increased again, now it's $2.50 per taco. The burritos are $10 and there are still dollar tacos on Wednesdays. The tacos were a fair value before, but definitely not worth the new price point with very little meat. I'm so sad because it was my favorite taco truck for many years.

Edit 2024: Still a great deal, but it's now $2 per taco. On Wednesdays, tacos are $1.

I order traditional tacos at other Mexican restaurants in town and pay no less than $14 for 3 tacos. At $1.50 per taco, the price point is decent, and the food is so delicious!

Also, this location is a stationary food truck located by Walmart on Graham-Hopedale Rd, so be prepared to wait for your food outside or...
