Sandwich delicious, but terrible customer service and definitely not freaky fast. I ordered on the app yesterday at 12:45 pm from the Starbucks parking lot. I then went into Starbucks without a mask where I was pleasantly greeted by the staff and a sign that said it is "great to see you". I used their restroom and picked up my drink and then drove the 7ish minutes to Jimmy John's. When I arrived at Jimmy John's there was not another customer or anyone in the drive through. When I walked in, the 3 employees appeared to just be standing there, and then one of them said "ma'am you can't be in here without a mask". I said I was just picking up my to-go order (which at every other Jimmy John's I have ever been to, is just sitting on the table/shelf, etc next to the door ready to go). The guy repeated that I couldn't be in there without a mask and that I could pick up my order in the drive-though. I said I would do that, so I went out, got in my car. At that time another customer pulled into the drive through to order so I pulled around them and went directly to the window. The guy by the window was now taking the other customer's order so I waited. After a minute or 2 I tapped on the window, figuring one of the other employees could hand me my sandwich. The guy taking the order gestured 1 minute with his finger. When he completed taking the other customer's order, he PULLED UP HIS MASK (which had obviously been pulled down while he was talking into the microphone), and said that my order wasn't ready yet. I waited at least another minute before he finally gave me my sandwich. It was probably close to 15 minutes from the time I ordered and they definitely weren't busy. There is not a mask mandate anymore and I understand that businesses can set their own policies, but when your own employees don't follow them, yet require your customers to I think it's ridiculous. I won't be a Jimmy John's customer again until I don't have to cover my face to be seen in your store.
Update - I was contacted by 3 different Jimmy John's managers/owners and have been told that corporate had lightened up on the mask requirement. They also are very short staffed. It would have been nice if that was explained by the employees instead of worrying about my lack of...
Read moreBetween 2 and 3 stars, not quite 3 if I'm being honest... As a steady customer since they opened, I've noticed this place is extremely hit and miss. Think they surpassed the honeymoon phase. Sometimes the subs are on point, other times it's way off base. Sometimes the delivery is 20 minutes, others it's nearly an hour- I live 1.3 miles away- and ALWAYS tip 20%. Today I gave it 43 minutes before I just called, canceled, and ordered a pizza which was here in 22 minutes, from clear across town no less. If the subs were nearly always on point 3 stars all day, but delivery is a major draw for JJs ("freaky fast delivery") and their barely passing on that front, so I gotta give it more like a 2.5. Service has declined in the last year. Idk what it is, maybe they just cant hire enough drivers...
