Great food and great service !

My wife and I stopped for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant when we got there. My wife ordered a steak kabob and a shrimp kabob. Both were cooked perfectly. And the choice of vegetables was right on. There were mushrooms, yellow and orange pepper slices and tomatoes along with the ample serving of protein on each kabob. The steak and shrimp were seasoned just right. I highly recommend the kabobs. I ordered one of the brisket burgers. Sorry, can't remember what it was called. But it had onion rings on the burger. It, too, was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. It came with lettuce, tomato, pickles and an onion slice. The burger patty was topped with 3 slices of bacon and BBQ sauce. Easily one of the best hamburgers I've had in the past 3 months !

Our first visit was absolutely delightful! For a small menu, before they open fully, we definitely had a hard time choosing. We started with cheese curds. They were so light and airy in the most delicious way. We ordered a steak sandwich with a side salad, a Maverick burger with fries, and the beer cheese bisque. We also ordered food to go for a friend. Our bill was only $75, and we ended up leaving with 2 boxes of leftovers and a leftover soup. The portions are very generous, and the food is delicious! The wait staff was very tentative and friendly. We never had an empty drink or dipping sauce. We can't wait to go back and experience Maverick when they have a full menu! Don't miss out on this one! I had a burger and fries. The burger was HUGE and juicy; everything on the plate tasted so fresh, nothing was/is frozen. Where you are seated you can see the kitchen area, I love the transparency of being able to see how your food is prepared. The chef wore gloves and the station was very clean. The best part about the food is, it's a real high quality BBQ at a reasonable price. The outside is currently being repainted/ remodeled but don't let this fool you!
