⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the most delightful experience at the old Lexington Gardens in Butte. The spot's picturesque location overlooking Butte creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful gardens, complemented by the iconic Lexington stamp mill, add a touch of history and charm to the place. The availability of picnic tables and historic signage allows visitors to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of the area while enjoying a leisurely picnic amidst nature's beauty. The convenience of great RV-size parking makes it even more appealing, making it easy for visitors to explore and shop in uptown Butte without any worries. But what truly stole my heart was the presence of the dance stage for the Montana Folk Festival. It's the perfect setting for music and dance enthusiasts to revel in the festivities while surrounded by the enchanting scenery. Overall, the old Lexington Gardens is a hidden gem in Butte, offering a blend of history, natural beauty, and cultural experiences. It's a must-visit spot for anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable time in this charming city. Highly recommended!

I’m posting because I don’t want people to be misled like I was! Old Lexington Gardens in the past has been beautiful. Unfortunately, it has not been well maintained. There were no flowers in the butterfly garden, the entire thing is overgrown with weeds, and was just in general lacking the attributes that made it unique in the past (such as grass up the stairs and other flowers that were planted in the small garden bed by the trees, etc.)

Interesting history of Butte and a good jumping off location to take a walk and read the plaques posted on the historic buildings on Main St and Park. There was a flower display with a giant butterfly design that mirrored the displays of the former Colombia Gardens amusement park. There is also an old stamp mill on sight with information about how the mines material was processed.
