It’s very sad that I have to write about this pizza shop. I don’t like to write reviews but I am hoping the next few sentences will help this chain to select a more respectful employee lineup, or simply invest in training them. Before anything, I would like to thank all restaurants and their staff for being open during this pandemic and feeding us all 😘
.
My family and I are regulars here and over the course of the pandemic, we have probably spent a good couple of thousand dollars between deliveries and take outs. This evening, my wife and I along our three years old, went for a walk in the Commons. As we are passing the store, my baby asked for the cinnamon rolls. Since we love the menu item, I went in and ordered them. The young girl at the cashier told me that it will take between 5 to 10 mins. So we walked around, picked up coffee and came back in 15 minutes however, the rolls weren’t ready yet. So I waited, and the girl said it will be another 10 minutes. At this time we are waiting nearly 20 min and the baby is getting impatient. So after another 10 min, I went back inside and asked how long more, and she said it’s coming off the oven. So I went outside and waited again... Another five minutes passed and finally the girl comes out and hands me the box of the rolls without a bag, napkins or utensils.
So, I asked her can you at least give me a bag and she responded, “you know what dude, you need to drop the attitude. It’s Christmas and people are working” 🤔 I’m like could you please get me a bag? (As I didn’t really care for her giving me hard time, and as the baby is now begging to leave)... So she goes in and comes back with a bag and then decided to mad dog me in the face yelling that “you are not welcome here and that I need you to leave”. Then as I calmly trying to say a few words at her see what her problem is, she starts to confront with my wife yelling in front of my child. And, of course, my wife as much of a nice person she is, after all, she lost it and snapped back at her. Since we didn’t want to cause a scene and the baby now scared on my wife’s shoulder pulling his lips, we decided to just walk!
About us: My wife and I are not the type to want someone like her fired or waste our energy seeking remedy. We will probably support the business again as we believe in keeping the community strong. Although it was very hurtful to be called nasty names and to be told that you should leave and never come back 👎
Moral of the story: None of these drama was necessary. We were not rude to this teenager especially by asking for a to go bag. She may have had a difficult day however, that doesn’t permit her to voice her frustration at a customer who’s also much older. Also, I don’t owe her anything because she has a job and scheduled to work. If she didn’t want to work during Christmas, then she should have run it by the manager and simply take the day off! Not that I care to compare but, I was also working along with my 30 employees contributing to the society. We weren’t complaining to our customers 😆
Final thoughts: I would like to mention here that the owner has always been very nice and welcoming! We have been happy customers of this FB. I really pray for this girl and her future. I also hope that this shop does a better job of training their employees to not treat their customers like a dog. It is shameful for this franchise to have such a low level order taker as the face of their pizza shop with customers.
To management: if you are reading this, maybe a great idea to invest and teach your staff some basic customer service and leadership skills. Start by John Maxwell who has trained thousands of people with all walks of life and companies. If you want to stay in business long term, teach your employees that “they must have a servitude attitude” otherwise, sooner or later you’ll burn your investment. I wish you all the best in the new year and...
Read moreI order here almost twice a week. I get 10 wings all the time. Last time they gave me 3 wings that were red and old on the inside. I come back to order my same order today. I say hey last week yall gave me 3 bad wings. I don't want to complain but can we make it right and yall add 2 wings on this new order. I said 2. Not 3 but just add two extra wings to the new order im placing and paying for today! Guess what I was told? "No we can't do that." So let me get this straight. I let it slide that these wings are $15 and I don't call to make you all fix the order when it happened becuz your staff was super busy and I figured I would just get it fixed next time. But then you tell a weekly customer you are not willing to even give me 2 extra wings when I ordered a brand new order after yall gave me old chicken! Wow! The manager working tonight just costed yall a weekly customer over 2 wings. I will just head back to pizza hut. They mess up an order they fix it regardless. 2 wings wow. Been coming here for years! I even have been coming here eventhough the rewards program has been down since the pandemic. Terrible. Just found out the managers name is Victor!...
Read moreUsually there is a lot to like about this place but I feel the service has gone too far downhill. On my most recent trip I ordered a pizza for dine in, they asked my name, said "we'll call you when it's ready, it will be about 12-15 minutes". We sat down right in front of them, it's clear we were right there. Over the next nearly 40 minutes I watched several people come in, order, and get their pizza. Still they did not call my name. Finally I decided to go ask if there was a problem, they told me there was not, and they grabbed my pizza off of a shelf and handed it to me. It was lukewarm and the woman behind the counter lied to me and told me it had just come up. I had been eyeing that pizza for some time because I wondered if that could have been ours but I didn't want to interrupt them and figured they had everything under control. I just don't like experiences like that. I don't think any of us deserve to go sit down at a restaurant, never have our name called, and then have our food late and cold only when we go investigating. I would recommend going to some of the other places at the Commons and avoiding the...
