Stopped by here to get some pastries and hot drinks and it started off great as the cashier was very friendly and accommodating despite them being slammed. My wife ordered the persian tea which was quite aromatic and delicious but a tad on the dark side (steeped too dark), so she took her cup to the barista and asked her to top it off with hot water. I saw her return with a frown on her face , what happened? They stated "we dont have any hot water".

Ok, time for me to go karen I guess: So I went to the same barista and inquired, "curious, if you dont have hot water, what exactly do you make your hot tea with?:. She states, you know we steep it for 15 minutes. I drilled again, "please tell me what you steep it with", anyways after a few of these uncomfortable back and forths, the other barista filled up a small cup with hot water from their espresso machine and handed it over. You have the audacity to charge $7.20 + tip for a 12 oz hot tea, at least teach your staff a little bit about how to interact with clients and how to provide customer service.

The cherry on the top was while we were having our pasties, another employee decided this is a good time to windex the tables and ok, i kinda get it, your always busy and gotta clean up once in a while but when she asked me to remove my cookie from the table so she can windex that section, it became abundantly clear that this place gives zero f's about training and cs--

This was like a 7-11 experience at 4...

Touch of Kindness at La La Land Kind Cafe

When my friends visited from the Bay Area, I took them to La La Land Kind Cafe for coffee. Since I’m still finding my way around LA, this spot was the perfect place to share a warm, welcoming experience.

The cafe’s positive atmosphere is noticeable as soon as you walk in. The uplifting decor and friendly staff make it feel special, and my friends were just as impressed as I was!

We tried the Original Cloud Lattes and the Upside Down Latte—each was unique and delicious. The Cloud Latte was smooth and creamy, with a light, airy texture that felt like a treat. The Upside Down Latte had a bold, rich flavor that coffee lovers would appreciate. Each drink was crafted with care, adding to the whole experience.

But what really made the visit memorable was the kindness of the staff. They went out of their way to make sure everyone felt comfortable and welcome—a rare touch that left a lasting impression on all of us.

La La Land Kind Cafe isn’t just about coffee; it’s a whole experience. If you’re in LA and looking for a spot with quality drinks and genuine kindness, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s the perfect place to share with friends and feel at home...

This branch is located in nice part of Calabasas, however the quality of the drinks specifically their latte is very poor. They don’t pay attention to mixing and most of the time, the drinks are in poor quality and it is in need of remaking. The outside tables are always dirty, with spilled drinks and used napkins and coffee cups left behind from the previous guests. there are trash all over with no one ever cleaning the tables or picking up the trash people leave behind! The staff are nice and very sweet, but that does not make up for the messy, dirty place and bad quality drinks. Most of the time I clean up the tables and put the trash in trash basket and get wet napkins to clean the chairs and tables before I sit down. As you see in the photo, I cleaned the right side of the tables. That is why half the table on the right side is relatively clean! Once a while They get it right and you get a drinkable coffee, but lately almost every time, it is poor Quality. I Visit this place after work 3-4 times a week to enjoy outdoors while I have my afternoon coffee. I am debating if I should continue my visit or find a better place to ...
