Strange experience that ended much better. So when we walked in we had reservations for an entire birthday. But the front seemed so confused as to where our table was how many people would be with us etc. Eventually they figured it out after about 10-15 minutes ( Already a long time ) pretty annoying. Once we sat down we waited again for quite some time for service. The good part was is that it took so long. We all had figured out what we wanted to order already. The server was actually what made this dining experience a good one. Without him there wouldn't of been as much comedy and happiness as there was at our table. He did an amazing job! I will definitely update this review once I figure out who our server was so everyone knows who to pick haha. We ordered quite a few things. However I will only write about the dish I chose and how it was. TAGLIATELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE Pasta was slightly overcooked.... But the bolognese sauce was on point. Usually you get a bolognese with to much or to little meat. This was just right. More on the sweeter side then bitter/acidic side. Had a good proper taste. So why the 3 stars? Well simple. Service from the start wasn't acceptable in a place like this. Front staff needs to have better communication. The food took about 40 minutes to come out. Seems a bit to long. And well... the food is just ok. I wouldn't come back here for the bolognese that's for sure. It's just pretty regular but not bad either. If I do end up coming back here it wont be from my choosing and I'll try something different on the menu for another updated review.

Toscanova at the Commons in Calabasas is a solid four star restaurant. The food is good, though not exceptional, and falls more into the category of reliable than remarkable. We had a pizza that was pretty good and a salad that was fresh and well done, but neither stood out as something you would rush back for. That said, everything was certainly enjoyable and competently prepared. The real strength here is the service, which was attentive, professional, and made the meal feel easy and comfortable. The atmosphere is also pleasant, a nice balance of lively and polished, making it a good choice for a business lunch or a casual dinner. It has the feel of a place where you can count on things running smoothly without much fuss. Toscanova is not haute cuisine and doesn’t aspire to be. It’s more of a dependable B+ option that delivers what you expect without elevating the experience into something extraordinary. I do recommend it for what it is, and especially for the convenience and consistent service. Just know going in that while it’s very good, it doesn’t quite reach the five star level in terms of food or overall atmosphere.

We recently had lunch a Toscanova within the shopping complex at Commons Way, finding this a good place for Italian cuisine and dining. Opening hours are 11am to 10pm daily. Restaurant environs are quite nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly and accommodating throughout our meal. Menu is an expected range of Italian dishes that you find in American restaurants. We started with a spinach salad that was ok. Greens and other ingredients were fresh and tasted as expected, nothing special nor bad. For our mains we had the Ravioli with spinach and pappardelle al funghi, both were good pasta servings. We preferred the pappardelle, finding the mushroom sauce and topping to be quite tasty. For dessert we the found the chocolate cake with molten chocolate sauce to be a fair dessert as well. In the end, nothing particularly memorable, just good Italian salad, pastas and dessert. Prices are on the high end for what is served but food quality is pretty good. On this basis, this is a place we would probably have tried again if we lived in the area.

We usually go there once a month to twice a month but But the experience of mother there was really bad. We had to wait every meal at least 20 minutes with a child of two years and a half the portion are so small. Waiting all the time was so bad and they had the door outside open. It was windy inside of the room. We had to keep all of us our jacket the server so much that was forgetting things that we have to stood up and go get it ourselves. Ask the manager That we didn’t get our drinks and the bread the manager didn’t even apologize after 35 minutes in the beginning and then we had to wait at least 20 minutes between me. It was not a pleasant day there the meals were so good before and the good portion today, the meals are not as good as it used to be in the portion is so small and the price went up. I’m very very very disappointed, but this place , I had an experience in February when the server was really really nice and the service was really good and as well the food at the end he told me it was my birthday and he asked me for dessert. I said no it’s my birthday and I will get my cake at home, waiting for me and bring me a piece of Tiramisu which I was surprised I was like oh nice of you thank you but at the end when we get home, we find out that he made a spay, but I didn’t ask for it at the end. I was like oh he offer us this because I didn’t want it actually I didn’t eat it. My daughter ate it And said what happened this never happened so I think everything has been changed. They’re not as good as they used to be the tables to each other, the outside was open and windy even if you don’t what you ask this place used to be one of the best and has been changed so much , so sad but at the end you pay your big bill with a bad service not a good meal as it used to be and a very sad atmosphere. I ate my meal in the seats and table and I didn’t and I had to quiet and pay and it was my...

Toscanova Calabasas is a beautiful Italian restaurant located in the heart of Calabasas. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere with plenty of natural light. The menu features classic Italian dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I had the pleasure of dining at Toscanova with my family recently, and we were all very impressed with the food and service.

We started our meal with the Bruschetta Toscana, which was a delicious combination of grilled bread, tomatoes, and basil. For our main course, I had the Linguini Frutti Di Mare, which was cooked perfectly and served with a flavorful sauce. My spouse had the Pappardelle Al Funghi, which she said was the best she's ever had.

The service at Toscanova was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure that we had everything we needed and that our food was cooked to our liking.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Toscanova Calabasas. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Italian dining experience.

We had dinner reservations Saturday night 3/2/19 at 6:45pm. It was our first time at Toscanova. The night started off with the hostess telling us comon guys your table is ready (my date did not like being referred to as a guy) I know it’s an expression however this is no way to speak to a guest.

Upon sitting we were served bread and water and the server asked if we’d like a drink I ordered a Pinot Noir. After 15 minutes I told the server I had not received my wine which she promptly returned with it.

While waiting for our salad and appetizer to arrive the kitchen servers brought us 2 mini strobe soups and an eggplant appetizer which we did not order.

When our salad and octopus came out the salad was the wrong one which we sent back to the kitchen.

Our entrees arrived and the food was excellent.

We sat in the main dinning room along the front glass wall separating the outside enclosure. The 2 seat table along side of us was no more than 20” from our table. Every time a server went to the tables behind us they had to side step between tables putting their rear end along our table past our food and faces, several times they bumped the table and they apologized.

When the check came there was an additional glass of white wine added to our check that we were not charged for.

Overall, for a fine dinning experience it was terrible. The food was excellent however the service and management of the dining room was well below par.

I’ve written to the restaurant through their website on gmail and PM through their Facebook account without a reply so now I feel I should share my dissatisfaction publicly.

Excellent food poorly run...
