The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the owners are great. This is the type of place where everything you try is superb. They seem to really care about the ingredients they use (always fresh) and really put thought into the flavor profiles of their food. The chicken salad sandwich is my go to. Everytime I go, I have to order one with banana peppers. Their store baked chocolate chip cookies are banging, especially if you catch them right out of the oven. Even their dipping sauces are good - try the French fry dipping sauce (which I call the crack sauce because it is so addicting). This is the type of place I crave for. If I moved further from this place, I would definitely drive out of my way for their food. The owners are so friendly and welcoming too. They are very honest and will tell you before you order if they are behind or if your order might take longer than usual. They like to make sure you have the freedom to wait. I can't speak enough praises for this place. You just have to go try...

Hands down the best sandwiches in Caldwell—no question about it. Dave’s Delicious Deli lives up to its name with every bite. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are generous, and the flavor? Out of this world. You can tell they take pride in every sandwich they make.

But what really made my visit unforgettable was the incredibly kind service. One of the women working there offered me a free can of soda, just as a thoughtful gesture. It’s that kind of small-town kindness that makes you want to come back again and again.

ADDICTED! Tried this place a few months ago and now I have to have it atleast once a week...you will not get a sandwich like this anywhere in NJ... I am from NY and truthfully I don't know if I've ever had a sandwich like this in NY! Everything I've tried is fresh, made to order and well worth the wait... people complain about curbside pickup, but to be quite honest.. we live in a world now where everything is delivered or picked up...so get over yourselves...let them be!
