I ordered a Denver Omlet. I have cooked many in my time as a cook myself. There was no cheese on the omlet. Really? No cheese. So I mentioned something to the waitress. She says it’s always that way on the build a breakfast menu and there is an extra charge for cheese. Really? A Denver omlet comes with cheese on it. If you are not putting cheese on it you should make a note of it on the menu. I ask for a manager. She says they don’t have one. Then she reappears with a man whom presents himself as the owner. Dark blonde or brownish hair and heavy build comes out and I can hear his unprofessional comments as he makes his way about throw them out.. hahaha. He comes to the register and tells me for 25 years they haven’t put cheese on the Denver Omlet because it doesn’t have it on it.I explained that the Omlet should have cheese and that I have made them for years. I then pointed out that his waitress had stated prior that the Denver Omlet on the regular menu comes with cheese as it should be made. He then stumbles on his words for a moment and then I ask shouldn’t you notate on the menu if it will be different from one menu Type to another. No answer.... I told home I was happy to pay for the small portion of hash browns and half a piece of ham but I was not going to pay for the Omlet I didn’t eat nor was made properly. He took a whole whopping dollar off with attitude. $1.00 dollar. He has lost this place Seven customers over his poor attitude and lack of understanding and customer service. This place used to be decent, but now its lack of customer service and lack of menu clarity and ignorant management/ownership is driving it...
Read moreKelley is hands down the BEST server I've ever had, she's fun, she's quirky, she isn't afraid to do things her own way. But above all SHE'S SO NICE! I watched her get a table that complained about the type of Rye bread they got. Complaining. About bread. Yet still, she explained the type they had is called Marble Rye and it tastes the same as regular Rye without the seeds in it. They didn't even try it. Then she still gave them the exact same service she would've given if they didn't complain, that takes some serious willpower to overlook people's stupidity and treat them like a normal person. Fantastic service
I've been there about five times in the last three months or so, the salads absolutely SLAP, perfect dressing and cucumbers too! I always order off the dinner menu because I like cottage cheese and baked potato. I'd definitely recommend the turkey and stuffing dinner, as well as the chicken strips with the honey mustard.
There's also this make your own omelette that is absolutely beautiful. I mean it's just eggs whipped around whatever you want to put in it, but the eggs are cooked flawlessly and taste fantastic.
Then i found a new obsession in the form of the cinnamon rolls. They're SO good, they have no business being as good as they are. They come with icing on top and whipped butter on the side, and they just taste heavenly, like an actual homemade cinnamon roll.
Bottom line, food's fantastic, Kelley is a beautiful human (as well as the younger server Alexis), the only bad part is the... Interesting people...
Read moreI am for the first time in many years very disappointed. The burgers the guys ordered were fine, but the Patty Melt my mother and I ordered was not what we expected. We have eaten at your restaurant for many years (all of them, the egg factories are or were great too) I have never in my life ordered a patty melt and had it made of beef, cheddar and thousand island dressing on Rye. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress and that we wanted the traditional patty melt with grilled onions, swiss chz on Rye bread, instead of just fixing the issue she argued with us and said that all melts have thousand island dressing (since when I ask you?) Then as she was walking away and taking the sandwiches away to fix the issue, she turned in the middle of the front area to hollar at us "For future reference all melts come with thousand Island dressing!" In front of four tables of customers. She was highly disrspectful and very rude. I have been in the restaurant business for many years. This young lady was inappropriately rude and her name according to the other waitress (as they do not wear name tags) is Dani as it followed on the reciept. If she wonders why she wasn't tipped, she did not deserve it. In case you are unsure of who she is, she had red hair, green glasses and a tatooed sleave on her right arm and multiple piercings on her face. The date was 5/2/2014 and it took place at about 6:30 pm in the front lounge. We will be looking for a new family restaurant to go to...
